Title: I took my Mercedes-Benz GLC to Bosch Car Service Talladega Auto Clinic on 15 October 2025 for a routine service. What should have been a straightforward experience turned into an absolute nightmare. After collecting my car, I discovered a diesel leak — an extremely dangerous and negligent oversight that could have caused a fire or serious damage. When I returned to the branch, the manager and mechanic treated the issue with disinterest and arrogance, as if I was being unreasonable for expecting a safe, properly serviced vehicle. Their attempt to “fix” the problem only made things worse. The engine cover was left unsecured, my interior and garage were soaked with diesel, and the front panel beneath the steering wheel was hanging loose. This level of negligence is unacceptable and dangerous. To make matters worse, each time I got my car back, it came back with more damage, more excuses, and zero accountability. Instead of resolving the issue, they caused new ones every single time. When I had to return for the third time, I was met with rudeness and a foul attitude from Benny, the manager. He offered more excuses, showed no remorse, and when I tried to address the matter further — he literally hung up the phone on me. That’s the level of “customer service” you can expect from this place. At this point, I have no faith in their competence or integrity. I am left with a car I no longer trust and the clear impression that this branch is both unsafe and unprofessional. Bosch should be ashamed to have their brand associated with such gross negligence, shocking workmanship, and disgraceful behavior. If you value your vehicle, your safety, or your sanity — stay far away from Bosch Car Service Talladega Auto Clinic. Their carelessness and attitude are dangerous, and their management is a disgrace.

Terrible service. My actual concerns were never diagnosed — instead, I was given expensive quotations (up to R17,000 and had to pay it) for problems that were misdiagnosed - each time it was something new and with a story to match. After several visits, they still didn’t fix the issue, and I had to go to a proper mechanic elsewhere to finally get it resolved. Poor communication, no empathy, and a waste of time and thousands of rands. Not recommended.

Our initial service was a good experience, however soon this turned into a real nightmare, 1) they broke a plastic part when trying to install a cabin filter (never replaced) 2) Replaced oil pump as there was oil in water reservoir (Never flushed the system) 3) When Car was in for oil pump, it was parked outside and a hailstorm caused damage, they told me they were NOT responsible?! They lie and deceive their clients, when there was a hail storm a specifically asked if they had the car parked inside, they **** and said yes. The plastic part THEY broke has never been replaced

I took my vehicle for service to this workshop on the 13/12/2022. I went to collect the vehicle at 4pm on the day and was told it wasn't ready, only to be told few minutes later that my vehicle is no longer moving. When I enquired about what happened, they lied and told me no-one drove the car since I dropped it off. This despite a difference of 2km's on the mileage. Their workshop manager eventually agreed that one of their staff did actually drive the car. As can be expected, I wasn't happy with how things developed and handled on the matter. I escalated matters to the owner of the workshop who was so arrogant about the whole situation even to the point of calling me a liar. The real liar was the incompetent staffer of his by the name of Shane. He went on to brag about how he has an army of lawyers to handle anything for him. The car was already stripped, and after some back-and-forth, I then reluctantly agreed for them to finish the job. The whole clutch kit had to be replaced including the Mass Flywheel. On the 20th of January 2023, I went to fetch my vehicle. Before I could even drive-off, the car's ABS warning light was no longer going off! I immediately notified them of such. Took the vehicle back to them on Monday, 23 January 2023, they warning message temporarily disappeared but was back later in the day. Took the vehicle back to them today (30 January 2023), this time they tell me I must pay them R 2000 as they didn't work on that part of the vehicle even though the vehicle was in their position the whole time. Again, their incompetent staffer (Shane) accused me of lying again even though I showed him the ABS warning message upon fetching the vehicle.

I took my car there to have a noise looked at on 28/03/2022, they came back with a ridiculous quote of R 50k, saying I need to replace the entire engine!!! I paid the inspection fee....which was obviously not even done properly....and declined the quote. Turns out, the noise is merely a damn worn out timing chain guide.

Talladega Auto Clinic unfortunately seems to have taken a turn to the worst. I've serviced my vehicle there several times and have been happy with the service, probably on a scale of 5, until the beginning of 2022. I took my car in for (1) a service and (2) a repair on the A/C which they gladly diagnosed for me and for which I was very grateful. At the time, the A/C provider was not open yet and the car was returned to me without the A/C being repaired, understandably. However upon getting the vehicle back the car had a new issue (the A/C blower would not switch on) and upon taking it back I was told the blower failed. I questioned this as the blower is an electric motor and cannot fail while the car is being serviced, as it should not be getting power. I was told I don't understand "electronics" so I took my keys and left. Upon diagnosing the car myself I found the blower (quoted as a R4000 part) working perfectly and tracked the issue down to a blower resistor (R1200 from agents and I repaired the failed electronic component for less than R100 myself). I'm rather unhappy that the service centre did not diagnose my issue correctly, and would not listen to reason.

I had a serious problem with my only vehicle and went to Talladega (Bosch Silverlakes) on Wednesday 30/06/2021 without an appointment. They assisted me immediately with the correct info so that I can make an informed decision. They took me home with their car and fetched me again on the promised time to collect my 100% repaired car. The cost of the repairs was reasonable and they even did a minor service on the car included. Compliments for these people for delivering more than asked for on the promised time.
