Years later and still fixing developers bad construction
Over 7 years and we still fixing bad construction of our home we bought off plan from TGP. On a weekly basis other owners ask if they have issues with different things in their homes and they all the same and some even worse than what we experiencing. No waterproofing done so water running down the walls and bubbles forming under the painted walls. Our garage ceiling board broke due to water building up in the roof not being installed correctly so water rushing in when it rains. Our basins in the kitchen falling out due to installations done badly. Our pool installed by workers so completely skew and pipes leaking that has cost thousands to fix. Termites eating through the skirting in the middle of the house. Our boundary wall is so badly built that we can actually see into our neighbours side as it's hollow on the inside with cutting corners when building. They now building across the road and I am amazed how they are still in business. The complex we are in is based in Broadacres Joburg.

TGP Construction/ Combined Developers - Steer Clear
TGP Construction and Combined Developers are the worst. Bought off plan in Haasendal and not even 5 years and place is falling apart. Cornice just fell off on top of the bed, porch tiles are falling off and the bottom of the porch is hollow. Water damage in the flat and outside and cracks all over the place. They refuse to take any responsibility and just say it's the landlords' responsibility to maintain the place. THIS IS JUST USELESS WORKMANSHIP! If you see their name attached to a development, run the other way. This was my first place i ever bought and I'm so sorry that I did

A rip-off by TGP Construction?
You should check out Arnim Apartments, Brackenfell South. Developers TGP Contruction working with Bill Tolken Hendrikse Conveyencers and Attorneys, handed over keys and occupation to purchasers from 16 April 2024. I am a pensioner who sold my house to buy in this complex. The full purchase price was deposited with the lawyers before occupation (17 April 2024) (R1,2m). Two months have since elapsed. I am required to pay R10k per month occupational rent as sectional title registration has not taken place. We are now being told that there is a problem with the zoning of part of the property. No indication has been given as to how long this will take. Is this company operating within the prescripts of the law to have provided occupation to purchases while knowing there were zoning issues? While it is being sorted out, the tenants each are having to pay R10k per month besides levies.

Is TGP Legit?
I am buying into the Arnim Apartments development, which is being built by TGP Construction. I have a few concerns: (a) No website; (b) two complaints on Hellopeter—to the second one, the response is very belligerent. Are they legit?

TGP WORST COMPANY TO WORK FOR.
This is the worst Company to work for. History of non payment to workforce and subcontractors. Supply and fix contractors wait months and years for hard earned money. They take the low class workforce that build there company for granted.

Please read this before engaging with TGP / Combined Developers
I wish we had performed a simple google search prior to purchasing from Combined Developers and TGP Building. Before you invest or buy into any development that is affiliated with TGP Building / Combined Developers, please read the below. Here are a few of the issues we have experienced with TGP / Combined: - They sold us a plot with an existing boundary wall that negatively impacts the ERF we own - They built another home on our ERF - They withheld this error from us for 4 months. - They asked us to sign away use of our land without compensation - They built our home in the wrong place - They built our home smaller than the contractually agreed plan - They installed cheaper paving on the development than contractually agreed as per the plan - They have been mostly inflexible with changes, even with adequate notice. Any changes have come at (in our opinion) excessive cost. - They delayed reasonable requests to visit our plot to view progress - They refused to resolve the issue through discussion and instead led with threats of legal action. - The compensation offered for reduced land and home is unethically low. Lower than the original cost we paid.

Steer clear of any TGP Development!
DO NOT purchase a new development from these builders! I bought a new apartment in Big Bay middle last year. I was firstly meant to move 6 months before that, but the occupation date was changed at the very last moment (2 weeks before), and then rescheduled 4 times. Initial inspection of my unit brought me to tears! The workmanship was horrific. I ended up not moving in for another 2 weeks to allow them time to correct my 4 page snaglist. Thereafter it has just been one defect upon another. And they take zero responsibility! I have completed an independent roof inspection, only to find that there is huge issues with cement being on my roof and corroding the metal, along with drains being damaged by contractors. When sent the pictures and report, TGP says my apartment is out of guarantee and that is for my expense! I have literally fallen out of guarantee period by 2 weeks. Other issues: I have skew walls. Our complex's chimneys aren't built correctly. The staircases are at uneven steps and gradients. Our roofs have cement on it and have not been completely cladded. The list goes on and on! They are absolute bullies!

I’ve bought a house at Silverwood Estate. The constructions were top, finishes were perfectly done. The house was handed over to me in perfect condition. Thank you TGP for the excellent build! Happy client
