The area and guesthouse were excellent. What a pity the reception staff and the restaurant is a massive big let down. 3 Weeks before my arrival I phoned the restaurant to ask them to forward me a copy of the menu. I had to decide upfront if I will braai or eat in restaurant. According to the person who answered I could get it on their website and Facebook page. He was informed it was not available on these platforms but he insisted that it was. Also I ask him the time the restaurant will close and mentioned the date and day to him. 20h00 the kitchen closes for orders and 21h00 the restaurant close. At arrival the person at reception informed me without asking him that the restaurant orders close at 17h00 and the restaurant at 18h00. When I told him it is different from what I was told, he got an attacking personality and very rude informed me that he was correct with his information. At 16h25 we arrived at the restaurant. When my wife placed her order, a chicken salad, the waiter informed her that it will be served in a box. I ordered a 200g fillet but was not informed that it will be served in a box. We then accept the situation that her salad for some strange reason is served in a box. While waiting for the order the waiter brought our forks and knives. Very high quality cutlery that normally used by 5 star hotels. What a disappointing surprise. He arrived with 2 fomolite boxes and a plastic container with my sauce. My 200g fillet was not bigger than 100g. At the house there were towels, large and small but what a further surprise. No body lotion or soap to wash with. The next morning when I handed the keys back I was informed as my house is "self catering" they do not supply any form of soap. Also I was informed that this was communicated to me with the booking call. When I said no such information was given to me, the girl at reception said that they always mentioned it with the booking call. Once again when I denied this information was mentioned she got angrily hostiled with me. I have been to many "self catering" overnight accommodations and NOWHERE any type of soap was NOT supp****. Self catering means that you do cater for your own food. Why did they supply towels, oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery etc then. That evening at the swimming pool ALL the quests complained about the same as above. Even outside the resort everybody complaint about the UNDER SIZED STEAKS. This is apparently the norm there NEVER NEVER AGAIN I will recommened The Baths in Citrusdal to anybody.

if there’s one place that has truly captured my heart, it’s this tranquil resort The Baths tucked away from the world in Citrusdal. Nestled among lush greenery, with the soft hum of nature filling the air, it feels like a perfect little piece of paradise. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the calming sound of the water at the rock pools, the gentle breeze rustling through the trees, and the stunning sky filled with stars, some nights painting the sky with hues of orange and pink. It’s the kind of place where time slows down. Whether it’s a leisurely walk together down the beautiful mountains of Citrusdal on the Hike paths or sitting on a cozy blanket, or sharing quiet conversations overlooking the Olifants River Valley, everything about it just feels intimate and timeless. The space invites you to be fully present, to connect with each other without distractions. Every corner holds a memory waiting to be made. Whether you’re enjoying a simple relaxing day in the hot pools or relaxing in the heated rock pools with magnificent views of nature, this spot creates moments that linger in your heart long after you've left. It’s where love feels effortless, my family has made beautiful memories at The baths from dating anniversaries to wedding anniversaries and our daughters first birthday holiday at the age of 3 If you’re looking for a place to share a quiet, romantic moment with someone special, or spend quality time with family this spot will always have a place in my heart.

Booked Sandalien and Sugar Bush chalets reservation 151240. Sandalien shower leaked water from shower to bathroom, kitchen zink leaking and outside lights not working. Sugar Bush jacuzzi not working, no warm water. Complained to office who sent maintenance. Was told to put towel in bathroom, lights sorted. But jacuzzi was still not working and whole weekend children could not use jacuzzi. We had to use a two man jacuzzi between four people. Month later I am still waiting on The Baths to feedback. Seems they don't care about their image or public as long as they can pocket your money without providing for what you are paying them for.

Hubby and I had the most enjoyable weekend. We stayed right next to the warm bath and expected it to be noisy but not so. The accommodation was immaculate and cosy. We had the best hot stone massages from Matilda, she was so gentle and friendly. The rock pools were beautiful and we definitely had no need to use our private jacuzzi. Overall awesome experience, perfect for a get away from the buzz of the city. We will definitely go back in winter.

People skills sucks ! They made a mistake when we spoke to them about their mistake they completely brushed us aside as if we're the ones in the wrong as a person studying the tourism industry I know very well that their people skills suck plus their willing to correct THEIR MISTAKES is poorly done

Good afternoon About 1 month ago I paid my holiday in full to go the the Baths Natural Springs. I have sent an email 2 times in the last 2 weeks to advise that I need to change my date as the booked date was no longer possible. I sent to all 3 different email addresses that they provided to me. I am yet to hear from them. I am not very impressed with the service. Their delay has already caused me to miss out on an ideal date for me. They never call you back. I always have to call them and chase after them. Please can this resort who has my money assist me with changing my date? kind regards
