The area and guesthouse were excellent. What a pity the reception staff and the restaurant is a massive big let down. 3 Weeks before my arrival I phoned the restaurant to ask them to forward me a copy of the menu. I had to decide upfront if I will braai or eat in restaurant. According to the person who answered I could get it on their website and Facebook page. He was informed it was not available on these platforms but he insisted that it was. Also I ask him the time the restaurant will close and mentioned the date and day to him. 20h00 the kitchen closes for orders and 21h00 the restaurant close. At arrival the person at reception informed me without asking him that the restaurant orders close at 17h00 and the restaurant at 18h00. When I told him it is different from what I was told, he got an attacking personality and very rude informed me that he was correct with his information. At 16h25 we arrived at the restaurant. When my wife placed her order, a chicken salad, the waiter informed her that it will be served in a box. I ordered a 200g fillet but was not informed that it will be served in a box. We then accept the situation that her salad for some strange reason is served in a box. While waiting for the order the waiter brought our forks and knives. Very high quality cutlery that normally used by 5 star hotels. What a disappointing surprise. He arrived with 2 fomolite boxes and a plastic container with my sauce. My 200g fillet was not bigger than 100g. At the house there were towels, large and small but what a further surprise. No body lotion or soap to wash with. The next morning when I handed the keys back I was informed as my house is "self catering" they do not supply any form of soap. Also I was informed that this was communicated to me with the booking call. When I said no such information was given to me, the girl at reception said that they always mentioned it with the booking call. Once again when I denied this information was mentioned she got angrily hostiled with me. I have been to many "self catering" overnight accommodations and NOWHERE any type of soap was NOT supp****. Self catering means that you do cater for your own food. Why did they supply towels, oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery etc then. That evening at the swimming pool ALL the quests complained about the same as above. Even outside the resort everybody complaint about the UNDER SIZED STEAKS. This is apparently the norm there NEVER NEVER AGAIN I will recommened The Baths in Citrusdal to anybody.
Hi My elektrisiteits meter is amper 2 jaar gelede met 'n "Prepaid" meter vervang. Die dag met die vervanging is my vrou gevra om 'n vorm te teken as bewys dat die kontrakteur sy werk verrig het. Toe ons die finale elektrisiteits rekening ontvang was my laaste heffing vir 6 weke 2433 eenhede en gehef teen astronomiese hoë tarief. Ek het in epos koorespondensie bewyse voorgelê dat my gemiddelde verbruik vir 10 jaar voor die vervanging 'n gemiddelde verbruik van 533 per maand is. Dit was ook bevestig deur 'n munisipale amptenaar. Die munisipaliteit wou niks aanvaar nie en wou my elektrisiteit afskakel as ek nie betaal nie. Ek het toe 'n betaling ooreenkoms aangegaan om net my elektrisiteits konneksie te kan behou. Verskeie eposse na verskillende amptenare(junior, senior en selfs raadslede asook burgemeester) het geen reaksie ontlok nie. Selfs op "Prepaid" is my gemiddelde verbruik 533 per maand, in die algemeen eintlik minder as met lesing meter. Niemand by die munisipaliteit is bereid om te help nie. Die burgemeester (DA) reageer geensins op 8 eposse wat sy al ontvang het nie. Ek is moedeloos en raadop.
I have check fibre coverage on their website who indicates that I can get fibre. I put my order in. Very quickly I received a phone call to very my order. My first question before the Vodacom operator started with any questions was to verify and confirmed to me that fibre was available. That she did. Within 1 day the vetting and approval of the order was done. 2 Days later I received my router. This is where good service ended. After I received my router, I cancelled my ADSL facility at Telkom. For 3 weeks after I put the order in, I was trying to get an answer from Vodacom for the installation date. I have phoned 082 1904, send emails daily and even complaint to their complaints dept. No answers at all. All they said in telephone calls was that they will call me and confirmed the date. They even took a secondary cell number if I was not available immediate. Now after 3 weeks of trying to get an answer from Vodacom, I was informed that Frogfoot will not install the fibre cable as there was no available structure facility in my area. Now thanks to Vodacom I will not get fibre which availability was confirmed by them and also, I do not have internet anymore. Expensive data must be bought daily to be active on internet. DO NOT USE VODACOM FOR ANY DATA SERVICE.
I have paid a subscription fee on the 10th February 2021 and realised immediately that I have paid the wrong company. I phoned Arena immediately and asked for a cancellation. It was excepted and I received the following day, 11th although it was promised for the 10th, an email confirming it. They have requested proof of payment and proof of my banking details for refund. This was submitted on the 11th. On the 12th I received an invoice showing my payment less R35-00 as a credit. The 17th I still have not received my refund, although less then what I have paid. It was confirmed by them that the refund was in processing. Emails since they do not even reply to my emails. Pathetic service and then a reduction of R35 on my payment, for what?
17 Minutes after I ask the way to pay for a magazine subscription I received an email with the link. After I have paid I tried to sign in to read the digital version which I thought I signed up for. Their website do not indicate that you sign up for the printed version. I then contacted them again via different email addresses, but no response. My money is gone and I sit with nothing. People, please be warned, DO NOT sign in for a magazine at Arena Holdings.
