⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointed with the experience This was my second time staying at City Club, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. I arrived at 3:00 PM for check-in, but the room wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes with no real apology. When I mentioned that I’d like to make up for the time being wasted, the staff just laughed in my face , which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Their excuse was that they didn’t have enough washing machines to clean the linens, which honestly sounds ridiculous for a hotel of this size. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service before, and I doubt I’ll be returning.

I can not recommend this Hotel to any one. What we see on booking.com is totally different from what you see when you get there. 1. Pool is not clean 2. There is no braai facility 3. Shower doesn't have class 4. TV is not connected to the internet 5. You get 1 rool of Toilet paper for 4 days 6. They change towels after 4 days 7. They clean your Room after 4 days 8. Pillow cases have stains 9. The manege is not always around 10.

They advertise free parking, but then want to charge a fee on arrival, after paying for the full booking. Then there is no parking available and when querying this, they say it's subject to availability. They are not very accommodating when trying to resolve the issue. Then decline any refund on cancellation. Also, the venue is NOT what is advertised online. These are definitely ****sters, who ***** your money. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!

The state of the apartment is atrocious nothing like the pictures or detailed description advertised on Bookings.com 1. The couch and curtains had stains on it 2. The coffee table had cigarette burns all over it 3. The microwave has a hole in the front door - and I'm sure this is dangerous 4. The fridge was dirty and only has one shelf (2 missing) in to store anything, the door of the fridge only has one shelf (2 missing) to store bottles. Back of fridge was frosted 5. The freezer was dirty and covered with frost 6. There was only one dinner plate, had to buy paper plates 7. There was only one champagne flute 8. There is only 2 pillows on the bed, one for each person I suppose, but is flat and old. They needed to be folded in half to support ones neck 9. The bin in the cupboard was broken 10. The room was reeking of smoke upon entering I really do think City Club Hotel can do better. With that being said I stayed at the Wex1 with La Stay who really gave me a good experience about 6 weeks ago. Messaged City Club Hotel on their WhatsApp service line with the above. Their response: “hi will inform supervisor”. No further response to this date.

I'm staying at Wex1, City Club apartment. Worst service ever. Thirty carpets, windows, not serviced properly, no customer services. Won't recommend City Club to any one. And there's no communication from their side. So dissatisfied

This company is a ***** and business is not alligned with values. Full of lies and deceipt not to talk about service level a hell of a dump. I booked a Wex 1 Apartment via Agoda and these lovely folks are the rental agents. Let’s start at the beginning- if you looking for a bit of gangster style adventure in Cape Town then this is the place for you. When you raise the issue that your 16 year daughter was almost fondled you are advised to take it up with security. You will be welcomed into the foyer and into the lift with the lovely aroma of urine. You then proceed to the apartment- I’m not sure what pictures they are using but the room looks like nothing (and not even remotely) like anything in the picture. You are welcomed to a very dark apartment which is more like the vibe of drug hole hang out, and you are lucky enough to still have the fragrant scent of **** hanging in the air. The apartment is dirty. I mean there is no way you can even get a check in before 2pm but imagine when you check in at 5:42 pm and what your expectation is about cleanliness. In any event I could have lived with the greasy finger prints on the glasses but when there is only one bathroom and the floor is littered with hair clips (with clips even stuck to the walls) pieces of toilet paper on the floor. You can understand why I was just a bit disappointed. When you raise it with management - who btw only correspond via what’s app. You are told to wait until the next morning because their cleaning staff has knocked off. I mean were they even there? You then are told “sorry for you” but the inn has no more rooms. And that given you are only staying for 2 nights it’s not unreasonable to spend one night and day in a *** sty. I mean management the next day admits via what’s app- the comms medium, that the unit was dirty but I mean you could have slept in it anyway it didn’t affect your sleep. Well news flash - I didn’t pay money to stay in a dump. Then you have Agoda whose customer service is shocking. Long and the short of it. Besides a “sorry for you” we got a “no refund” response. But in actual fact the issue is not even about the refund but the manner in which a person is treated. So if you 1) into staying at a dump 2) being groped 3) harassed by drug dealers 4) enjoy the scent of urine and **** 5) and are looking for the real gangsta experience- this is the place for you! If you fall for the marketing 101 write up on their website - you were warned. Affordable accommodation : lower grade with security issues. Ladies and families avoid. Comfortable accommodation combined with elegant style and maximum value for money: A diffuser would be great but eau de urine and **** is their definition of comfiest, style and elegance. hands-on approach to communicating with our guests, we ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to checkout: yip this has to be the most delusional if not biggest lie on the website. Take it from me… pay a bit more and stay in Cape Town CBD, it’s safer and the level of hospitality is at a different level.
