The Dog Food App is a terrible company. They don't pay small businesses the invoices that are owed. I've been waiting for months to get paid and they don't even reply. The staff are aggressive, and one of their senior managers swore and was extremely rude, especially to my female staff members. I wouldn't use this company.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience using the Dog Food app. We placed an order on April 29th, and on April 30th, we realized we needed to change the delivery address. Since then, it has been over a week (now May 7th), and our dog food still hasn't arrived, with no estimated time of arrival provided. The app has been unhelpful throughout this process. Whenever we reach out for assistance, they simply blame the courier company, RAM. However, when we contacted RAM, they confirmed that they never received the address change and are still operating with the original information. This lack of coordination has left us in a frustrating limbo with no clear resolution. What’s most disappointing is the lack of urgency and accountability from the Dog Food app. As former regular customers, we expected a higher level of service and support. Instead, we feel brushed aside, with no one taking responsibility for the issue. Due to this experience, I can no longer support this service, as they have shown a disregard for customer care and have failed to provide the assistance we needed. I sincerely hope they improve their communication and take accountability in the future, as it is crucial to maintain customer trust.

I’ve been using them for a few years now. I’ve placed a total of 17 orders and have never been disappointed. The app tells you if there will be a delay in the delivery due to low stock or any other reason with an expected delivery date provided before you make payment. The app also notifies you when your order is out on the road and when you’re next up for delivery. They also have good deals for tick and flea treatment when you order food and they accept all Hill’s vouchers/coupons.

After placing an order, an email was sent to say that the order has been confirmed. That's all the communication I've received. It is very difficult to find a contact detail for this company, but after much searching, I found this email address gm@thedogfoodapp.co.za, and followed up with the status of my order. No response at all. I followed up again and received no response. It's been two full weeks since I've placed my order and no further communication has been made. I would definitely not recommend this business - as good as their prices are, every other aspect of their operations are ****!

This is a ******* app. and communication is even worse. no contact number, no email, no real person to talk to... Since there is no notification that the funds were deducted it was deducted twice. Mainly because the app is trash. So, now I will wait 5 business days to get my double payment back so Bruno eats bread until I have money back to go to a real shop to buy his food... that however is not a given.. i may never see the money again.. I'm concerned about the non disclosures... the website that doesn't exist, the lack of communication and confirmation and the fact that the bank happily agreed to deduct without proper due diligence, which i will take up with the bank... therefore would say stay clear. I;ll also be rating the app as trash as that's where the problem started

Ordered 12kg bag Hills dog food on Wednesday 7th June at 350 cheaper than other suppliers. It arrived at my door today at 1 pm 8th June. Kept me informed of delivery details on their chat box at all times. The app is a bit slow though, but it works

Pathetic experience with delivery. App is slow and doesn't allow you to input correct address. ZERO customer service and same excuse for error that they said they were fixing 4 months ago. Quick to take your money but not deliver goods or refund immediately so you can go somewhere reliable to purchase
