.Good day, On April 4th, I visited the ice rink. Unfortunately, the rental skates I received were quite dull. Despite requesting replacements, I encountered difficulties with the service. Eventually, a lady, who was rather impolite, provided me with new skates. However, these also proved to be blunt. Upon returning and asking for blade sharpening, I was informed that rental skates are not sharpened. Despite the rude assistance, I was given another pair, which turned out to be both broken and blunt. Due to the discourteous behavior of the lady, I refrained from seeking further assistance and continued skating with inadequate equipment, ultimately resulting in a fall and head injury. Despite my distress, no one offered assistance. As a result, I have suffered a concussion and a minor skull injury. This situation is particularly concerning as I've observed numerous others experience similar accidents due to dull skates. In contrast, I've had positive experiences at Forest Hill Mall, where the skates are sharp and the service is accommodating. Given the severity of my injury, which requires X-rays, I am seeking compensation for the lack of service and the harm caused. Despite my distress, no one came to my aid while I was in tears and experiencing nausea. I have decided not to return to the rink and am requesting a refund. I am prepared to escalate this matter further, including involving the media and seeking legal advice from Afriforum if necessary. It's important to note that while skating is at one's own risk, the refusal of assistance and absence of emergency services do not fall under this category. The employees' neglectful behavior, spending time on their phones instead of assisting patrons, is unacceptable. I await your prompt response, as I am determined to pursue appropriate action if compensation is not provided.

Terrible ice rink! My brother went skating for the first time yesterday. He fell and broke his ankle. No one came to help him off the ice. There were no medics on sight and no one even offered to help him. Horrible experience. The ice were also not completely frozen. The water on the surface caused your skates to not have any grip.

Worst service i have had in a very long time. I am in sales myself and i went to the Pro Shop to go and find out about some skates to buy. I asked the one guy who can help me at the shop and he phoned someone to help me. There then came a lady who assisted me with the skates, i asked her that i am looking for a size 5 and size 8 for myself. She told me there is no size 5's available and don't know when they would ever receive more stock. There was 3 closed boxes of skates standing next to me not knowing what is inside it but she can maybe get me other skates in a size 5 that is R800 more expensive from a other branch but she cant phone theme there and then to find out if maybe they have stock but she took my number. I asked her to please keep the size 8 for me as it is a problem getting them. I phoned Forrest Hill Ice Rink in centurion to find out do they have stock and they told me they do have stock they received them on Saturday and have a lot of stock. That is VERY BAD SERVICE because does R4 200 not mean anything to you??? Thanks for nothing i will take my business somewhere els where i do get service.

After a recent visit to the Ice Rink at the Grove Mall, I was very disgusted by the safety that the Ice Rink provides the customers. To use the lockers you have to buy a lock and key at the Kiosk. Which we did. Upon returning to our locker - we found it empty and the lock wasn't there. Luckily a girl with the name Frana who works there had our belongings after a black gentlemen accidentally opened our locker instead of his, but immediately called the girl to inform her that he made a mistake and accidentally opened our locker with our belongings. He gave all our belongings to her with his name and cellphone number. I was truly delighted that the gentlemen was honest and returned everything. But - to my surprise over R700 was stolen out of my wallet. I returned to the girl who had my belongings and asked her if she knows anything and replied to she don't. She got my belongings from the gentlemen and gave it to me just like that. I called the gentlemen who sweared on his life he did not take the money as if he did he would have not given his real number. The situation was not resolved but feel that it's a big risk factor seeing that all the keys bought at the kiosk opens all locks.

My daughter and her boyfriend took my son (10 years old) and several of his friends Ice Skating on the evening of 1 July.. It was my son's 1st time skating so as you can imagine he was very excited.. This morning - 2 July my daughter told me some things that me as a mother, finds very disturbing.. I was always under the impression that the employees who work there, are actually supposed to help the people.. According to my daughter there were about 5/6 of the \employees"who continuously harrased the \""paying\"" customers!! Every time someone fell they would skate past and yell \""Pushups\""!! Why don't they join the army if they want \""pushups\""?? They were also skating extremely close to everybody and were actually pushing people over.. What happened to helping people who fall?? As you can imagine"
