Absolutely Disgusting!
Food was overpriced, kitchen was slow (by the time our waitress was made aware the food was room temp at best), I could have made McCain frozen chips at home, whomever is buying their meat clearly does not know what Wagyu is (my burger was normal beef, I only eat Wagyu so I know the difference!), the saurkraut was not fresh, mash potato was cold and lumpy and gravy that came with the Einstein tasted like lamb (leftover from a carvery), place is full of 20's somethings who do not know how to behave themselves in public - but I suppose the ****py food is disguised by the fact that their patrons are almost all rip roaring drunk by the time they get their food. How do you not have a non alcoholic beverage menu??? This place used to be amazing, I brought my wife through for date night - what an utter disgrace!!!

NO HUMAN RIGHTS
This is the second time that I have been insulted as a *** man, this is definitely NOT A *** FRIENDLY place! The 2nd bar man to deface me as a male, being a *** male, and causing me to leave the restaurant. I spent R1300 and that was acceptable, but as a *** male I was ousted, rude to and badgers till I left the lot, to all *** patrons, I advise to ***** clear. Your money is all that matters, as is in business, but atleast respect the bearer of this money. NOT *** FRIENDLY AT ALL!

This is a lovely, old-fashioned and down to earth eatery in Bellville.
Situated off Old Oak Road, Hollow Tree offers indoor and outdoor dining. There is a bar inside and even a separate dining room for events. The highlight for us was the roast lunch special they have on Sundays. The portion is generous and the price really reasonable. Service was lovely and friendly.

Partner and I went there for lunch
Partner and I went there for lunch. We got the most awesome wow surprise with the food presentation. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel, one with mushroom and one with pepper sauce. Lovely vegetables, lovely golden crisps and very large portion chicken schnitzel. It was absolutely awesome, amazing!!!
