Yesterday 1 December 2024 me and my husband wanted to go eat there in the afternoon, when we got there we asked to sit outside but with the disappointment all the tables were filthy and cigarettes on the tables it was disgusting
Yesterday 1 December 2024 me and my husband wanted to go eat there in the afternoon, when we got there we asked to sit outside but with the disappointment all the tables were filthy and cigarettes on the tables it was disgusting. When we asked for the manager to complain the state of their tables out side his words was we close at 4pm so I said you close at 5pm is that why you are not cleaning the tables out side were we wanted to eat he couldn't answer me. No wonder there are not that many people there who can eat in a filthy restaurant? There are so many waiters just standing around and not doing anything why can't they make sure that the tables are clean for when people want to come and eat. It's a disgrace to eat there, it use to be a nice restaurant but it's become worse and filthy tables very disappointing 😞 😕 😡. I rate there service and condition a ZERO

Unhappy customer
I would never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant as the waitresses and servants are rude and disrespectful. They take forever with our order and they do not take notes on what u order. The service is so bad and slow and no one cares about their customers the owner also doesn't care of anything doesn't greet or check up on what is happening. He doesn't walk around to customers asking if anything is alright. We have been waiting almost 2 hrs for our food. This restaurant should be closed down and the cleaningness is atrocious they don't clean the table for u like wipe it down nothing at all. THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN COMPLETELY

Unhappy customer
I would never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant as the waitresses and servants are rude and disrespectful. They take forever with our order and they do not take notes on what u order. The service is so bad and slow and no one cares about their customers the owner also doesn't care of anything doesn't greet or check up on what is happening. He doesn't walk around to customers asking if anything is alright. We have been waiting almost 2 hrs for our food. This restaurant should be closed down and the cleaningness is atrocious they don't clean the table for u like wipe it down nothing at all. THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN COMPLETELY

Disgusting
Worse place ever. So I went there to try something new worse mistake of my life. We wanted to order a single brandy and coke but the waiter refused to order a single and forced us to take double. We order the food after receiving the drinks. Again my husband orders a 200g steak but the waiter is forcing him to take 400g but we refused and I ordered the ribs. We immediately had to leave like 1 minute from ordering the food we went to the waiter to tell him to cancel the food because we leaving and he refused. He was still punching in the order but said he can't cancel it. After we walked back to our table he ran to the kitchen to tell them to make the order. We asked for the manager to ask him to cancel the order the manager asked the kitchen staff if the order is being made and a guy making the steak held up the steak with his bare hands. They then said it will be ready in 5 minutes. So tell me how can you make a medium steak and ribs in just 5 minutes. We were given a bill and R500 later for food I don't trust eating we left. I will never go to this place ever again in my life. Like literally refusing to cancel a customers order

The scrumptious #WINter fillet!
I am forever at Flora Centre because that's where I go to gym and I have always seen the Huguenot Restaurant. On Saturday the 21st of August 2021, I finally decided its time to try it out. Went there with my son and partner and although the place was empty except for 2 other couple's , I could confidently say the food #WINs!! They have a special they've were running were they had a fillet steak with chips and veggies which was scrumptious and an absolute #WIN!! Thanks for the experience it was amazing!

Groupon Voucher terms not kept by merchant
<p>I purchased a Sushi voucher from Groupon for The Huguenot Restaurant in Flora Centre. Despite the T's and C's stating: Valid until 31 October 2016. Monday and Thursday, 11:00 to 21:00 and Saturday, 13:00 to 15:00, it has been impossible to get a booking on a Saturday and on a Monday and Thursday only between 11h00 and 2pm. AFter my third attempt i realised that the manager was only stating they fully booked when he heard its a Groupon. I raised a concern at Groupon and it was simply dismissed and i was refunded with a GROUPON CREDIT due to their policy. I find this inconsistent application of policies tantamount of theft and false advertising. I tried 3 times to make a booking within the provisions of the validity period however when the Huguenot manager hears Groupon then he simply says they full and insists you come when they not busy despite the times given. When i questioned him on this he became very rude and abrupt.</p>

Fly Eggs
We ate at this restaurant yesterday. Spent R386 on a meal for 2 people. On our first serving my husband found FLY eggs on his pork slices that he just received from the buffet. When he took it to the owner tilo show him, the owner said it was carvings off the pork. I have taken a photo. What pork has pure white/yellow oblong shavings? Pork has fat and fat is see through. And then it begs the question...how did the 'pork shavings' get ontop of the gravy my husband covered his pork in AFTER it was carved??? its FLY eggs! And tgen the owner scrapes the eggs off and sends my hubby back to his table with his same plate of food and doesnt look at us again. No apologies, no acknowledgement....NOTHING!
