On face value, The Living Room Interiors instagram page, website and showroom pics look top notch. Classy. I was further delighted to find a headboard for a great price on a Black Friday special. However, after I placed my order online, all I got was a notification that the payment went off. Nothing else. Not an invoice or an email to say that my order was received or what I ordered or what the status of my order was. The next day I started calling/whatsapp'ing and with each attempt I was referred by the one person to the next or was told that they will call me back. I really thought that I was scammed! Just yesterday I called again because it has been 3 and a half weeks since ordering and I still wasn't sure what was happening. I got another promise of a call back later the day with an update but no call was received. Then this morning, the headboard was delivered! With no warning, or advice of a tracking number. No paperwork. Nothing.
Firstly, I am glad that I was not scammed. But secondly, this experience could've saved me a whole lot of worry, phone calls, messaging and grief if I was just kept informed along the way. That's not a lot to ask when it comes to an online order, especially as their website states that, "We're dedicated to giving you the very best of interior designing, with a focus on best service delivery, customer service and uniqueness.". It's not that I wouldn't recommend this business but I would recommend the business to live true to the expectations that they sell themselves on. There is definitely room for improvement on this.
