On their website, The Living Room say that they foster "a culture of excellence throughout [their] service offerings in the Real Estate arena". Based on this and their location (upmarket Bryanston), one would expect professional and friendly service, but my experience has been incredibly frustrating, unprofessional and with every interaction I only end up with more questions. The agent I had to deal with was unprofessional, unresponsive, unhelpful and extremely unfriendly. After struggling for a couple of months, I queried this with the Operations Manager and was told that the property I had a problem with was not on their books and that the agent had resigned a few days earlier. I can't understand why an employer would not know about a property being managed by one of their employees, and >3 weeks later, his name is still on their website as a bonafide employee, and his WhatsApp profile picture still includes his Living Room Properties details. I escalated this matter to the Principal Agent and have not received a response. I then tried to call to have a conversation to resolve my legitimate issues, and the number listed on their website and on their Property24 profile does not exist. I highly recommend avoiding this company if at all possible. Nothing seems to add up and I wish I had never had the misfortune of having had to deal with them. My issue remains unresolved, and I am no nearer to closing this matter.
