My cousin, DA van Heerden bought a "Ford eco sport" from Klerksdorp motors in September 2020.
The car was presented and sold as a 2018 model. In the contract, the car was listed as a 2017 model. Klerksdorp Motors then admitted the car was a 2017 model and paid a sum of R5000 in his bank account for their mistake.
DA van Heerden later personalized his number plates. The traffic department said that according to the natis documentation, the car is a 2014 model.
DA van Heerden then contacted Klerksdorp Motors and they mentioned that they bought the car from Tannous Motors in Orkney. Mr Tannous said he will give us feedback but since then, he is not making contact even when we tried to reach out to him.
As per the Consumers act DA van Heerden needs to be protected by this miss representation.
