I wish there was a rating of -1, because that is exactly the rating I would give this place. The Venue is also a supplier of food/sandwiches to dialysis units around Cape Town (Western Cape). Unfortunately, they do not deliver on what they advertise. I am a patient at one of these units they supply food/sandwiches to. And over the past 2-3 years, we, as patients, have consistently asked and complained about the food we're supp**** with. Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload pictures here to show what we are provided with by this place. Some of the standard sandwiches that's on the menu and we need to select from is: - Chicken Mayo - Tuna Mayo - Egg Mayo - Cheese and salad (basically lettuce) - Pressed Beef and cheese Other: - Burgers - Fish Fingers??? These orders are taken and submitted on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, it is clear that they do not understand what they have on their menu nor what it is that is being ordered. The mayo sandwiches do not have any mayo on it. Instead, for some wonderfully odd reason, the mayo is either missing or replaced by black pepper corns. The tuna mayo sandwich is literally taken out of the can or whatever it is and plopped in the middle of the sandwich. I have consistently asked to add/include the mayo (because that's my order - tuna mayo), but unsuccessfully, they just blatantly refuse. I'm regularly provided with tuna black pepper corns sandwiches and of late, they've decided to give it on brown bread. My order has not changed (because I was pro-active and thought let me not confuse them any more than what they already are). It's tuna mayo on white bread. They once sent a fish finger sandwich (as dry as the Kalahari Desert - no mayo, no tomato sauce or chutney, not even butter) that I did not even bother with.... went through my session starving. Why is it taking so long for the company to get rid of them? Because they got rid of the previous supplier really quick and hastily. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with the previous supplier. QUESTIONS!!! Then, apart from the mess ups with the sandwiches, it is consistently being delivered late. As dialysis patients, we are technically supposed to eat that first hour of being on the machine (if you're going to eat something), but no, the food are delivered long into the second hour of dialysis. We should probably ask the unit to get Checkers to cater/supply us with sandwiches. It's highly likely they'll do a much better job of providing us with what we order. In fact, today, sandwiches were bought at Checkers for a couple of patients because the supplier decided not to follow the orders submitted nor the updates. It really cannot be that difficult, I mean, really. Request: If you do know of a more reliable food supplier, please let me know? I promise, there’s a lot of patients more than happy to drop the current one, even though the company does not want to do so.
