MY EXPERIENCE WITH THERMO COATING

In my experience, the workmanship at my property did not meet the standard I expected based on the written agreement and our walkthrough discussions. Several items that I believed were included in the quoted amount did not, in my understanding, seem fully documented in the final agreement or completed in the work carried out.

From my perspective, the surfaces did not appear to have been cleaned as described in the agreement, and within 14 days I noticed paint peeling in multiple areas. During rectification, I observed peeling being painted over without, in my view, the underlying issue being addressed, and further peeling continued daily.

I also observed what looked to me like incomplete waterproofing; nail holes and cracks that did not seem properly prepared or repaired; and finishes that appeared to show roller lines, brush marks, paint drips, and patchiness. I also noticed defects on two ceilings. Areas related to damp proofing that I believed were still damp were painted, which in my experience led to blistering within 27 days.

When I raised these concerns, the responses I received felt dismissive to me or were attributed to causes that did not match what I was observing. Many issues were repeatedly described as “not part of the agreement,” which I personally found unhelpful. My email concerns were, in my experience, met with what I perceived as false accusations rather than constructive engagement.

No formal inspection or sign-off procedure was provided to me when the job was marked as completed.

Based on my experience alone, I am unable to recommend Thermo Coating.
