Poor service and dishonesty
I approached Shaun Meintjies on the 9th of February 2021 to build a pine TV stand, once I received the requested invoice. I agreed on the price and terms. A completion time of two weeks is printed on the invoice. I also sent a photo of the TV stand I wanted made. A 70% deposit was paid. I was promised a stunning TV stand. I started to follow up after 1 week, And then my nightmare started. One excuse after another. everything that was promised was not delivered. Even a vist to his home resulted in nothing. After 6 weeks I requested a cancellation and a refund. Well after countless whats apps and telephone calls that were not taken. I still have no refund. I cannot believe that in Centurion there are businesses that operate in this way. My last communication with Shaun he told me that I was fortunte that he was willing to pay me my deposit. because I broke contract. Well after 6 weeks and him admitting poor service. He is the one who has not kept to his contract stipulated on the invoice. He has assurred me that he will pay my deposit back. But it is 3 months later and no refund has been paid. Very sad. Please be careful. :)

Delays tactics by Thermteq
Mr Meintjies is not be be dealt with. I contracted him to install a carport and paid R15k deposit. He was supposed to start at a specific and complete within 5 daya. Needless to say that he started and then the delays and excuses also started. About 4 weeks since starting i had 4 cross sections and one pillar done. Obviously we had an argument and i told him to stop. I heard afterwards that he does not have any cashflow and he was purposefully delaying the job so that he can get money from his other jobs. Anyway, deal with him at ypur own riak

Shaun Meintjies: operating under businesses :Thermteq, Blacksmith Studios, & Modern Wood Craft A retired pensioner ordered a custom built wooden bed from this guy 0n 28 Jan 2021, thinking he would have good intentions since he came across as a reliable and honest person on Facebook. As a custom made dog bed was ordered and delivered. However it was such a poor quality that it had to repaired by the customer as promises by Shaun Meintjies to repair the bed, came to nothing)) A deposit of R5000 was paid and delivery was promised in 2 weeks. , After several attempts and endless excuses he had failed to deliver the ordered item and failed to refund her deposit, as promised. It’s been 3 months and he is still full of excuses with no evidence of his business even existing. He trades as: Thermteq, Blacksmith Studios, & Modern Wood Craft. We suspect this is a SCAM. Do not support him and please do not pay him any moneys. A case of fraud will be opened shortly and we have also lodged a complaint with the Consumer Commission. #shaunmeintjies #thermteq #blacksmithstudios #modern woodcraft
