Poor service and dishonesty
I approached Shaun Meintjies on the 9th of February 2021 to build a pine TV stand, once I received the requested invoice. I agreed on the price and terms. A completion time of two weeks is printed on the invoice. I also sent a photo of the TV stand I wanted made. A 70% deposit was paid. I was promised a stunning TV stand. I started to follow up after 1 week, And then my nightmare started. One excuse after another. everything that was promised was not delivered. Even a vist to his home resulted in nothing. After 6 weeks I requested a cancellation and a refund. Well after countless whats apps and telephone calls that were not taken. I still have no refund. I cannot believe that in Centurion there are businesses that operate in this way. My last communication with Shaun he told me that I was fortunte that he was willing to pay me my deposit. because I broke contract. Well after 6 weeks and him admitting poor service. He is the one who has not kept to his contract stipulated on the invoice. He has assurred me that he will pay my deposit back. But it is 3 months later and no refund has been paid. Very sad. Please be careful. :)

06 Jul 2021, 11:21Building a business and maintaining a good reputation is a combination of hardwork and integerity. This business owner has niether. I was about to write off my deposit after months of promises that it would be repaid. But then I read about another customer who has been nailed in exactly the same way. Her complaint was put on FB on the 14th of June 21. After a deposit is paid that is the last you hear of him. I am taking the appropriate legal action to prevent this guy from hurting anymore innocent people. Be on your guard when contemplating doing business with Shaun Meintjies. He has many companies registered but the one he used when dealing with me is Therm-Teq construction.
