So I bought my car at a VW dealership called Thompsons VW on the 11th of April 2022, to my knowledge the car that was sold to me was brand new, however a month or 2 later I started having problems with the car, this car has been in and out of two dealerships. A month ago I notice that the paint is now peeling of the bonnet. I recently sent my car back to a dealership because I was having problems with the battery, bare in mind the battery didn’t even last a year, and informed them of the paint peeling off the bonnet also, the dealership advised that I should contact @VolkswagenSA Before contacting @VolkswagenSA I asked the service adviser at the dealership if he could please show me the history of the vehicle as I am really concerned. Upon viewing the history of the vehicle it was discovered that the car had a body repair on the 25th of February 2022 as per the VW system. This was not disclosed to me. Anyway I contacted @VolkswagenSA and explained to them the situation of the car and how unsatisfied I am. A case manager was allocated to me. I was contacted by the case manager the next day and she informed me that she has contacted the dealership Where I had purchased my car and she will get back to me once she gets feedback from them. So she eventually got back to me today and she informed me that as per the dealership they said that the car was just polished and it seems that she has taken their word for it. For some reason I don’t believe that and it doesn’t sit well with me, I mean why would you polish a brand new car also why was it logged as a body repair. She then said that I should contact the dealership directly.
So now I’m here with a car which I pay a lot of money for that is not even a year old and the paint is peeling off the bonnet.
A very unsatisfied customer!
