On the 31/01/2025 i took my vehicle with registration number FMC076L to the above mentioned address for 195000km service. On arrival I was well received and the normal process of getting the vehicle inspected before taking it into the workshop was conducted by services employees in my presence. They completed the checklist in the process as a normal practice. The vehicle was then taken into the workshop and I left the area as I was going to be contacted when the service was completed by the dealership. I called the dealership around 12 midday to find out as to whether did they manage to diagnose the additional defects communicated to them during the bookings, which are as follows door handles which were hard to open as well as the sunroof that was malfunctioning, on my arrival at the dealership for vehicle collection, i conducted my inspection on the car and realised that the sunroof that i was told had dirt inside the rails was worse than before, it was no more opening at all, I spoke to the service advisor and she called one of her superiors who advised that the vehicle should be taken back into the workshop but the feedback i got there after was that they are going to quote me for the sunroof as the rails were damaged. To my knowledge the vehicle was brought in with the sunroof that was only malfunctioning as I indicated when booking the vehicle in for service. Through this medium of communication I want to register my dissatisfaction and at the same time call for your intervention to get the above matter resolved amicably.

So I bought my car at a VW dealership called Thompsons VW on the 11th of April 2022, to my knowledge the car that was sold to me was brand new, however a month or 2 later I started having problems with the car, this car has been in and out of two dealerships. A month ago I notice that the paint is now peeling of the bonnet. I recently sent my car back to a dealership because I was having problems with the battery, bare in mind the battery didn’t even last a year, and informed them of the paint peeling off the bonnet also, the dealership advised that I should contact @VolkswagenSA Before contacting @VolkswagenSA I asked the service adviser at the dealership if he could please show me the history of the vehicle as I am really concerned. Upon viewing the history of the vehicle it was discovered that the car had a body repair on the 25th of February 2022 as per the VW system. This was not disclosed to me. Anyway I contacted @VolkswagenSA and explained to them the situation of the car and how unsatisfied I am. A case manager was allocated to me. I was contacted by the case manager the next day and she informed me that she has contacted the dealership Where I had purchased my car and she will get back to me once she gets feedback from them. So she eventually got back to me today and she informed me that as per the dealership they said that the car was just polished and it seems that she has taken their word for it. For some reason I don’t believe that and it doesn’t sit well with me, I mean why would you polish a brand new car also why was it logged as a body repair. She then said that I should contact the dealership directly. So now I’m here with a car which I pay a lot of money for that is not even a year old and the paint is peeling off the bonnet. A very unsatisfied customer!
