Good Evening Can I ask for your help, this happened at VW Thompsons Louistrichardt, I have sent email to VWSA but they not assisting at all, below is the email that I sent to them, now I am quoted to pay 60k
To whom it may concern
On the 31st of January 2025 I took my car with registration number ......... to the above address for 195000km service. On arrival I was well received and the normal process of getting the vehicle inspected before taking it in to the workshop was conducted by one of the services employees in my presence. He completed his checklist in the process as a normal practice the car was then taken into the workshop and I left the area as i was going to be contacted when the service was completed by the dealership. I called the dealership around 12 mid-day to find out as to whether did they manage to fix additional defects communicated to them during the booking of the vehicle which are as follows door handles which were hard to open as well as the sunroof that was malfunctioning. On arrival at the dealership for collection of the car, I conducted my inspection on the car and i realized that the sunroof that i was told had a dirt inside the rails was worse than before in that it was no more opening at all. I spoke to the service advisor and he called one of her superiors who advised that the car should be taken back into the workshop. It was indeed taken back into the workshop but the feedback i got there after was that they are now going to quote me for the sunroof as the rails were damaged. To my knowledge the car was brought in with no damages on the rails of the sunroof hence i indicated that it was only malfunctioning when booking the car for service. Through this medium of communication i want to register my dissatisfaction and at the same time calling for your intervention to get the above matter resolved amicably
