Labour procedures abundance

It's such a huge company that does not follow labour law and employment equity act they replaced a guy who was vulnerable and sick coughing his lungs out he reported his illness for a day just one day weress his been covering up the site at the same time he was robbed his overtime till today the guy was reliable to the company he thou he was not fully paid he worked for the company for 3 years never been sick just to be sick for 1 day which thou he reported then he was replaced which company labour procedures does this company follow how can u replace a person for reporting illness for a day
