I order 1 box of eggs. I am then told I need to pay for delivery. And then after I pay for the eggs and delivery I'm told I need to pay for insurance. My order hasn't arrived as they added an extra 2 boxes of eggs I didn't want. I am refusing to pay for something I don't want. I am waiting 3 days now for my refund. TOP LAY EGGS ARE ****MERS AND ********S AND ****S.

I bought 1 tray Extra Large eggs at Checker Hyper Fleurdal (Bloemfontein) on 10 May 2021. There were also no "Sell By" date on the eggs. The eggs however are various sizes weighing from 50g - 59. I contacted Top Lay and the informed me that the Extra Large eggs should weigh about 61g each. They said that Checkers will contact us regarding the eggs, which they never did. I sent photos of the eggs and no "sell by" date to Top Lay, but did not receive any reply. Once again the consumer has to pay for underweight products.

I have never bought Top-Lay eggs before but I decided to buy 18 of their extra large eggs at the Spar in Bothasig, Cape Town, today, 1 November 2015.

When I got the eggs home and opened the packaging to put the eggs in the fridge I found that NONE OF THE 18 EGGS HAD BEEN WASHED BEFORE THEY WERE PACKAGED AND DISTRIBUTED!!

With other brands of eggs that I have bought in the past I have on a rare occasion found possibly one egg out of a pack of 18 that was not properly washed but never more than that.

With the Top-Lay eggs I had to wash every one of the 18 of the eggs that I bought. This is totally unacceptable and shows Top-Lay Egg Co-operative Ltd's very poor product quality control! So this was the first time and it will be the last time that I ever buy Top-Lay eggs again.
