We experienced significant delays with our fully paid order from Debbie at Topform Steel Solutions. Despite numerous follow-ups, it took over a month without delivery. Various excuses were given throughout this period, and only after involving the police were we able to secure a refund—well after the initially promised refund date.
1. 10 June. Blames factory for miscommunication. 2. 11 June. No power. 3. 12 June. Only loaded coil late afternoon, order not ready. 4. 12 June. Only one IBR machine at factory working. 5. 13 June. Dog fell in compost heap. 6. 17 June. Machine was giving wavy edges. 7. 17 June. Kieth had a problem with vehicle. 8. 17 June. Attie had a puncture. 9. 17 June. Attie cant make it tonight, will only be tomorrow. 10. 17 June. Can only have one truck there at the factory at a time. That’s why the small truck had to go first. 11. 18 June. Driver is already at factory. She is on here way there. Stuck in road works. 12. 18 June. Big truck will only come after lunch. 13. 18 June. Problems with order. Initial coil 0,45 14. 18 June. Flashing will come on second truck. 15. 18 June. Debbie confirmed with martin they would start loading truck shortly. 16. 18 June. Driver lost load of timber. 17. 18 June. Big truck scared to drive past Soweto. 18. 18 June. Assistant is on leave. 19. 18 June. Rasta coming with long length truck in the morning, by 09h30 tomorrow morning. (didn’t come) 20. 18 June. No electricity 21. 19 June. R 91 000 ***** payment on Debbie’s account. 22. 19 June. Busy with other delivery. Will load all on big truck tomorrow. 23. 20 June. Busy feeding dogs. 24. 23 June. Upset tummy and vomiting. 25. 23 June. Had still not loaded by 15h00 so Rudi said driver can deliver next morning as it was late. 26. 23 June. Last long lengths will be done on Wednesday morning. 27. 23 June. Can’t oversee factory. Has swine flue 28. 23 June. Debbie confirms ridging are done and will be at us on Wednesday. 29. 24 June. Debbie confirms driver is loading. 30. 24 June. Debbie confirms super link is booked for wed 25 June. 31. 24 June. Debbie booked off but overseeing this order. 32. 24 June. Attie arrives with short delivery and also no ridging. 33. 24 June. Debbie states that Martins guys moved material to other side of machine and that why order was short. 34. 25 June. Debbie still booked off. 35. 25 June. Debbie confirms on voice note flashings will be delivered today. 36. 25 June. Debbie asks for another day because she has another customer that has a penalty clause with her. 37. 26 June. (Thursday) Debbie still booked off. 38. 26 June. Debbie confirms big truck will arrive after lunch time. 39. 26 June. Driver booked to arrive after lunch. 40. 26 June. Driver stuck at offload point. 41. 26 June. Factory can only roll long lengths when truck arrives. 42. 26 June. Debbie spoken to transporter. Can not get to factory by 15h30 43. 26 June. Debbie confirms that without a doubt complete order will be with us the next day. 44. 27 June (Friday) Debbie will update. She is at the airport. Family emergency in cape town. 45. 27 June. Must cancel all orders today. And are prepared to continue with order tomorrow, (Saturday) 46. 28 June. Some more of order arrived. Again, no ridges and flashing delivered. 47. 28 June. Debbie says flashing didn’t fir on truck. 48. 28 June. Debbie will confirm time of truck when she speaks to Martin on Monday. 49. 30 June. (Monday) Can’t do anything with order today and must deal with family loss. 50. 01 July. (Tuesday) Debbie dealing with month end and missed orders from day before. Earliest Martin can arrange a truck if for Wed afternoon (02 July). Debbie states that truck will also be loaded with flashing and ridging.
