Terrible experience with Topform Steel Solutions - repeated police intervention was required
My husband Rudi and I had a terrible experience with Topform Steel Solutions. After paying in full on 29 May 2025, we waited 20 days with no delivery before being forced to go to the police. Only a third of our order was delivered — and only after we threatened to open a ***** case against the director.
We then had to rely on repeated police intervention just to squeeze out the next 45% of materials. In total, we spent 42 days chasing broken promises and piecemeal deliveries before finally receiving a refund on 10 July 2025.
Debbie, the sole director, doesn’t own her own factory. She uses multiple third-party facilities between Pretoria and Germiston, which led to delays and a complete lack of accountability.
The constant excuses and shifting commitments caused serious delays, financial loss, and stress on our side. No amount of apologies can undo the chaos this caused.
We no longer trust this company and strongly urge others to be extremely cautious. Since our experience, other clients have reached out with similar complaints. We would never recommend Topform Steel Solutions to anyone.
I would also like to sincerely thank the sergeants at SAPS who helped us get both our materials and money back. If you suspect *****ulent behaviour from a supplier, don’t be afraid to go to the police — especially if you have evidence of sale under false pretences or if other victims come forward.

07 Aug 2025, 06:37Good Day Taneil, my apologies it has taken some time to respond to your review. Without going into too much detail, your order was without doubt delayed. There were several reasons for this which you, your husband and I have discussed at length. Every message sent by yourself and husband was answered. Every phone call was returned or answered. Videos of your material, together with videos of our offices as well as videos of the factory and loading were sent to you. Daily updates were provided to you. On some days up to 20 or more messages were answered which I received from you and your husband Rudi. Yes, we do not process ourselves and have never claimed to process ourselves. We procure our own coil and material and have several processing factories that roll and manufacture our orders. All being said, not once did you or your husband attend our offices. Your review in that the police had to be contacted is completely misleading and as per both officers your husband dealt with, both confirmed that there was no case for any fraud! It was explained to you that we don't enjoy our clients attending any of the factories where we process our material because they too have material and in the past we have lost several customers going direct. We have a company policy of a 7 day refund on credits or refunds. Your credit due for the long meter lengths that you cancelled due to the logistic problem, was paid to you on the 6th day within our 7 day refund policy. In your review you make no mention regarding the numerous transport costs of which I covered in getting your materials to you asap. R1000 was only paid by yourselves for delivery to Walkerville. If I am correct, we completed 3 or 4 deliveries for you at our cost. Furthermore, due to the delay, I offered you the services of our installation team to assist with your installation also at no cost to you of which you declined. Several weeks after the last delivery done to you, several follow up calls were made by myself to you and your husband on the progress of your project. Our business model is not perfect and especially after your order and review, there is much that needs to change to ensure I don't have to respond to a review of this nature again. We have been in business for almost 8 years and we have had some extremely happy clients and some dissatisfied customers. It needs to be mentioned that whenever we have had a problem or an unhappy client, some form of compensation has always be extended to our customers.
