Last year around September I approached Aran asking them to move my furniture from Kidds Beach East London to Cape Town. They gave me a quote and we agreed. I paid a deposit and soon afterward I settled the account because wanted my furniture asap. They then demanded a video that I struggled to get as I'm in Cape Town and the furniture is packed and labeled nicely at the storage. I explained to them that I was there recently and packed everything myself so the inventory list and pictures I sent them were the true reflection of what was in the storage. They still demanded a video, at last I found a person that I had to hire to do for me. I knew there and then that they wanted to come up with some stories to inflate the costs and they did by R5000. I asked for reasons for this and I was told it's because it's for coverage for any damage that might happen to the paved road to the storage due to the heavy truck. I then asked why am I paying for something that should be covered in their insurance and why are they going to overload their truck. They didn't care to respond to that and it was clear that if I didn't pay it I'd never get my furniture.
I then paid it on top of the full quotation costs but up to this day I never saw my furniture or my money. I continued to contact them and they'd give me absurd reasons for not delivering furniture until they decided to go AWOL with my money. They don't respond to any kind of communication altogether. The only decision I could come to is that they are a ****, no company exists or they were greedy and they knew from the beginning that they were not going to deliver because it's not their route but they were going to take my money anyway.
Is there anyone that can advise me how to get my money from these people if they even exist, please? Thanks so much for this opportunity. They not even worth this one star but I did it so that the page would allow me to continue otherwise without pressing something I couldn't.
