Ive been using the paarden island store for tires and brakes for 5 years now, always been what you'd expect from a fitment centre. This last time however it felt like it was only about the over sell, no care taken at all. My front brakes have a heavy shudder now, i took the bike back and for the first 15 minutes they looked for things on the bike to make it my problem. The mechanics say its normal for 1 brake pad on a caliper pair to stick out of the housing on one corner. Its normal for 1 pad to not sit flush and to be slightly rissen on one end. After they tried to bull**** me they eventually made some adjustments. They couldnt be bothered to remove the wheel to complete the R7200 from 5 days earlier. Regardless their tweaking seemed to sort it out for 15kms and the shudder returned I can actually move the pad with my finger on the corner thats jutting out. But what do i know, these "mechanics" tell me its normal. Also this new guy likes to leave at 16:00, so get there a little earlier from now on.
