I received exceptional service from this company, from initial inquiry to post-purchase support. The representatives, particularly Kaamraan, were extremely professional and attentive throughout. We started out with an in-depth discussion about my specific computing needs and budget. Modena then went about a powerful and aesthetically pleasing, high-quality build, constantly communicating on its progress, including intensive stress testing. The PC was then delivered personally. The build, visible through the glass panel on the side of the chassis, is extremely neat and tidy. I have not had any issues with the PC. Any queries I had were answered within minutes by friendly support staff. Overall, I had an extremely positive and seamless experience, which is a testament to the world-class service that is possible in this country.
I ordered a diswasher online, which was supposed to be delivered in 5 working days. It took 4 phone calls on 4 different days to customer support, each time with a promise to get back to me by end of day. I eventually insisted on speaking to manager. He was not helpful. After nearly 3 weeks, they cancelled the order claiming there was not stock. However, the item is still advertised online. Have not received my refund yet. Will never shop with HiFi Corp again

I applied for an ADSL line upgrade from 4 to 10 Mbps. I was told it would take 48 hours for the upgrade, but it took nearly 3 weeks before my line started syncing at the higher rate. No explanation as to why this was the case in dozens of calls, emails and online chats over nearly the entire 3-week period. I literally wasted hours and endless frustration begging to be updated. After the issue was resolved, there was no follow-up whatsoever. <br> <br> I was also told IN WRITING that the upgraded line bundle would cost a discounted R458/month. Afrihost then completely backtracked AFTER the upgrade was done and told me I would have to pay R578/month.<br> <br> I have cancelled my account and want absolutely nothing to do with Afrihost. My main purpose here is to warn others considering Afrihost as their ISP -- expect an unacceptable level of disorganised, ill-informed and tardy service, as well as questionable business ethics (bait-and-switch tactic, not honouring agreement, breach of trust, poor customer relations).
