I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care I received at your hospital in April when I had my C-section and tubal ligation. The medical team and nursing staff were professional, kind, and supportive throughout my stay, and I am truly grateful for the excellent care provided to me and my baby. I would also like to share a small piece of feedback for consideration. While breastfeeding is encouraged, I believe that bottle feeding should also be respected as a mother’s choice. Not all women are able to breastfeed, and it would be comforting if mothers felt equally supported in whichever feeding option best suits their circumstances. Additionally, it would make a big difference if the bathrooms in the maternity ward could be renovated or improved. Having access to warm showers and clean, comfortable facilities helps new mothers recover and feel refreshed after birth. Thank you once again for the care and dedication your staff provide to mothers and babies. It truly makes a difference in our communities. Warm regards. D.Schroeder

The staff at Ward 53 are rude and unhelpful. They're really the reason why girls and women end up using unsafe and ******* backdoor ******** doctors. How could you say you're fully booked when you've only helped one patient since morning amd you turn everyone else back to cone back at a later stage being fully aware that they're going to be over the legal weeks of ********. That reception lady with short hair and without a name badge you're unnecessarily rude and too comfortable.

Tshwane district hospital ward 4 post natal ward. I have heard of rude health care workers but this experience was worse. A health care worker on night shift for 21 September 2025 physical description tall slim female. Was extremely disrespectful towards patients in the ward this specific night and acted in a very unprofessional manner too.no matter what the case may be I don't think the department of health would pride themselves of such conduct. She was rude disrespectful and by her rude behavior put a baby's life at risk by rudely taking a baby from it's mother to do who knows what. Telling the mother that she has no plan for the crying child instead she is watching the cry as if it was a freak show . This lady must be called to order she has no manners of kindness she gives nurses a bad name she feels like she has too much authority when on duty I didn't get her name but she was absolutely terrible

My suster was admitted to the hospital as she had a infection, she is 59 years old, she has Dementia, they put her on sycotic medication Lord only know why. They did not feed her at all as she needs assistance to be fed, tied her to the bed, every time we visited they had a new story, her health deteriated badly. Her nappy was not changed regualary. After I decided to sign ger out on Section 27(1)b not complying the the National health code because of mailnutrition, her whole body covered in bruises and black marks, her left eye had a massive bump and was blue. Only to descover when we reach home she had a bed soar as big as a dinner plate. The was beeding badly, after we ask them if she had a bed soar, as per info from a nother patient. Also cinfirming that the did not feed her. She is now critical at home with a massive soar, I will never in my life take her back to that hospital even now in ger critical state. Nursing staff are just sitting and chatting doining not a **** thing to assist. The poor drs can prescribe the best medisin under the sun, the problem is not the drs its the nursing staff.

I am writing this email in absolute outrage and disgust at the inhumane treatment my critically ill father received at Tshwane Hospital on March 31, 2025. This is not just medical negligence—it is a complete failure of duty, ethics, and basic human decency. WHAT HAPPENED? Last week, on Thursday, March 28, 2025, we took my father to Steve Biko Academic Hospital because we trusted the expertise of their medical professionals. The doctors at Steve Biko, including Dr. Dinad, thoroughly examined him and rightfully referred him to Tshwane Hospital for specialist care—a clear indication that his condition is severe. But today, March 31, 2025, at Tshwane Hospital, a doctor recklessly sent my father away, stating his vitals were "normal" and instructing us to go to Mamelodi Hospital. How dare a so-called medical professional ignore a referral, dismiss a critically ill patient, and send him off like he was nothing? This was not just a mistake—this was pure negligence. A patient in need of specialist care was refused treatment and discarded as if his life meant nothing. WHY THIS IS A DISGRACEFUL VIOLATION OF MEDICAL ETHICS: - A referral from Steve Biko means my father’s case was serious. If the doctors there believed he needed specialist care, who gave this doctor at Tshwane the right to override that medical decision? Dismissing a patient without thorough examination is not just unprofessional—it is deadly. - Even as a non-medical person, I can SEE my father is not well. If I can recognize this, how can a trained doctor be so blind? - Sending a patient from hospital to hospital like a discarded file is cruel and completely unacceptable. MY IMMEDIATE DEMANDS: I want my father seen IMMEDIATELY at Tshwane Hospital or the appropriate specialist facility—TONIGHT. I demand the NAME of the doctor who refused treatment and an explanation of their actions. I want a full investigation into why a critically ill patient with a legitimate referral was turned away. I want an official written response within 24 hours explaining how Tshwane Hospital will ensure this NEVER happens again.

I would like to start off by saying that this is a public hospital, it's not a 5 star hotel! Yes the toilets are not up to standard and there is not a 24 hour cleaner to clean up after every women. We should be able to clean up after ourselves!! Honestly the 5 star rating I'm giving is because of the 5 start nursing care and service I received. I gave birth on the 4th of July 2024 and as most women I was rather worried about giving birth at a public hospital because the only reviews we read are bad ones, which is sad. I would like to thank ALL the nurses in the maternity ward who helped me and checked in on me during my labour. I am a first time mom and was not sure what to expect at all. They answered all my questions and reassured me that I was in safe hands. I'd like to especially thank nurse C. Mahlangu who went over and beyond during my delivery. She gave me strength when I thought I could not give natural birth and before I knew it, my perfect little baby boy was out and on my chest. I would definitely recommend Tshwane district hospital to all mammas. Thank you again to ALL the nurses who looked after me during my stay there. Keep on doing a fantastic job Sisters!! My experience was not so pleasant. On the 1st of December 2023 The sister that was meant to deliver my baby was somehow not in a good mood that day. She was so rude and disrespectful towards me. She humiliated me by making sure everyone in the ward knows that I passed faeces, they all laughed and she kept telling them not to come close coz it smells in the room I was delivering in. She made me carry my bags from one room to the other while walking, mind you I was in severe labour pains. While walking to the other room I couldn’t contain the edge of pushing so faeces kept coming out and she literally made me clean after myself while in labour( I literally cleaned the floor while in labour) the pains were so bad and I was made to clean after myself. That was thee most horrible experience of my life. While removing **** on floor my prayer was to deliver my baby safely bcoz I couldn’t contain the edge of pushing
