********, ********* and deceptive conduct by Celia Da Silva!!!!

I would like to warn others about the deceptive, ******** and ********* practices of Celia Da Silva from Turnright properties. After requesting a viewing of a unit, I was told that a credit check was required before scheduling the appointment, mind you, I’m currently renting a unit that costs R3000 more than the unit I was viewing with her, in the same estate, I stay here. I explicitly declined this request, yet Celia Da Silva assured me that they wouldn’t run any checks until I’ve viewed the unit and liked it then consent to proceeding. However as soon as I submitted my documents after a back and forth of me expressing why I was skeptical to submit until I’ve viewed, Celia still ran a credit check without my consent before even arranging a viewing appointment and apologized for having done it but later when the “owner had accepted another application” she **** about having obtained my permission to run the credit checks. This resulted in a hard inquiry on my credit report, which will negatively impact my credit score. Not only did she run a credit check without my consent, she also **** about having obtained my permission when confronted about it. Instead of admitting fault, she resorted to deceiving me by claiming that I had given consent. When I inquired about other units in rectification of the mess Celia created, she suddenly stopped responding and eventually blocked my number. I urge anyone considering renting through this agent to be extremely cautious and to demand transparency and honesty, good luck getting any!!! What a ***!!!
