I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Umbilo Pvt Technical College regarding their enrollment practices for the N1 to N3 programs. According to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) website, TVET colleges are no longer permitted to enroll students for N1 to N3 programs as of the 2023/2024 academic year. Despite this, I was enrolled in vocational training and N1 courses at Umbilo Pvt Technical College in January 2025, after completing my matriculation. The college's employees, including the principal, insisted that these courses were government requirements, which I later discovered to be false. When I questioned the principal about this discrepancy, I was met with a rude and unprofessional response. Further investigation revealed that other students with similar matriculation backgrounds were enrolled directly into N2 courses without being required to complete vocational training or N1. This inconsistency and misrepresentation of government requirements have caused me significant concern. I request assistance in resolving this matter, not only for my own benefit but also to ensure that future students are not misled by the college's practices, which appear to be in conflict with DHET regulations.

The service at the East Cape Midlands College is unprofessional on regards they don't give feedback after traveling to them numerous times. My brother went there so many times saying they will get back to him and yet nothing. Trying to contact them on the phone and the phone does not go through or not being answered as we had called so many times every day.

Hi The service at Eastcape Midlands College is so unprofessional!! I registered in 2023 for second semester, however every time I would go there to collect my text books it’s either the guy who is responsible to distribute textbooks is not at work or he went home early and no one is doing anything about his behaviour, I made the Campus manager aware of the situation and he didn’t do anything about it (emails as proof) Now that happened until I got a job in September I went there again to inform them about the changes and seeked advice as to what can be done, they told me to deregister I did all the process (emails as proof) until today no one has reponded to my emails nor return my calls I called head office because Mr Botha and Mrs Brenda did not respond to my email, a lady called Noluvuyo at head office said their systems were down she took my details she said she will get back to me that was last week!! No response until today I kept on calling them and no one is responding!! All I want to to deregister and get my money back The college is in Kariega Eastern Cape!!

Mrs. Shirley Ramela_CJC_Finance Department, at Langlaagte Tvet College 5 De Vos Street. You are a life saver. I was struggling with a printout and wanted to submit my SAPS application, and Langlaagte was under the loadshedding. Everywhere I couldn't get help but "She takes her time without knowing me and helping with dignity, encouraging me and wishes good luck on my application." Millions of thanks... 😊

This is about my father, who is currently a lecturer at Esaiyidi Tvet College, Kostad campus.. He obtained his degree from Unisa in 2019 and graduated in May 2020. He then submitted his documents to HR which is based in Port Shepstone for possible incentive for his qualification, nothing happened to his Notch salary, he then decided to write a letter to Blade Nzimande and unfortunately there was no response, he went to the Provincial Office which is based in Pietermaritzburg where they informed him there was nothing captured by HR in Port Shepstone, he then went back to Port Shepstone and they assured him that they will escalate the matter and on the 15th of April his incentive will be paid to him. Up to today his still waiting and there is no explanation from HR and what worries him the most is that his going on his retirement in September 2022, have already received the letter, but unable to complete the retirement forms because calculation will be done on my current notch which was supposed to revised in 2020...all my father is asking for is to be help, people must do their jobs properly and provide feedback to the person you are helping. Help people the way you would like to be helped.. Even Pietermaritzburg was suppose to take initiative not let a 65 year old go back and forth
