From what seems to be an organized organisation and a world class Western Cape establishment from the outside is not nearly the same internally. There are a number of staff that have not got work contracts and are working extended hours and months still awaiting and *********** HR dept run by Courtney with little effort being app**** by senior management staff to ensure this gets corrected. This is both constitutionally and contractually ******* and with senior management permanent contracts and annual increases in place there seems little ethical management to enforce this matter with Michael the CEO to ensure discipline and wellbeing of junior staff is managed in any way whatsoever. As this issue now affect more than 3 key staff in 1 dept the issue seems to require notification of CCMA as the only matter to resolve. So sad

Always a winner, the Aquarium allows for easy access and walking space, without feeling cramped even on busy days. There are no live shows as in Durban, but the displays are world class, clean and well presented with clear information on all displays. Right at the entrance to the V&A Waterfront, close access to restaurants and shops means you could easily spend a whole morning or afternoon there. The aquarium is very clearly designed and interestingly structured, many, partly large display tanks and glass tunnels which are very appealing and house many sea creatures. Also, after 3pm, there is a reduced admission price. It is advisable to plan to spend at least 2 hours, certainly longer with children in order to explore the entire aquarium and make the most out of the experience.

As I am visiting the Aquarium regularly, at least every second month with a 3 year old and sometimes including a 6 year old I decided to invest in membership status for all 5 of us - what a good decision. It is an absolute reward to be able to skip the ques. There are constant changes on every visit, and not knowing all the reasons for the changes ie removal of the big crabs, Bob the Turtle and The Nemo Tower, I believe that this is to create an even better experience. The kids play area is also a firm favourite and I have been attending a lot of puppet shows. Each of these shows results in participating and exciting children. Today I had an incident with the vending machine in the play area - I am happy to report that the floor personnel were very assisting and even allowed us to move to the penquin feeding while they sort my problem. I was pleasantly surprised to receive my item while attending the penguin feeding. Thank you for good service, an excellent and informative experience and looking forward to our next visit!
