On the 11 february 2025 I took my truck to Kathu UD Trucks for major service. Upon arrival I notified them that the temperature gauge is malfunctioning and requested that it should be replaced. when I went to collect the truck, I realized that the temperature gauge was not replaced nor fixed, it was still malfunctioning. I asked the mechanic if he replaced the gauge, he said no. I left the truck hoping that they will sort out the issue, but instead the mechanic disconnected the temperature gauge to stop it from reporting error message. A month later the truck blew the cylinder head. I contacted the customer service. the meeting was arranged with the area managed. they promised that the truck will be fixed soon. the previous manager by the name of matin even promised that he will ask the UD trucks to contribute to the costs. This proves that they are acknowledging their mistakes and negligence. however, now they are claiming that they will no longer be able to contribute to the costs due to the fact that my truck is no longer under warranty. They should have told me this before they took my money. i have paid R 56000 for major service, then later paid R125 155.21 for the damages that they were caused due to negligence. my truck was working fine before i took it to UD truck. this has caused me mental and financial stress. I am on the verge of loosing my business because of their negligence. Kathu UD truck must contribute to the costs of my truck.
