I had to go and apply for unemployment at the Goodwood office. What a WONDERFUL experience. For a Government Department it was the BEST SERVICE I have ever received. Consultant named Wezo gave FANTASTIC service, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Well done all of you for the FANTASTIC service.

Wow the uif team should raise their socks cause whatever they are foing to work for? Is totally nonsense how can they have not unlocked my profile even today since the 16th of July I don't wanna say much am disgusted.

The u-filing website is down again. It doesn't say this, so you go through all the steps and then a message appears that says: We were unable to get your returns. Please check back later. This has been going on for almost 2 months. After I phoned the call centre, I was told to send a mail to Uif.declaration@labour.gov.za. I did, but are not receiving any response.

The u-filing website is down again. It doesn't say this, so you go through all the steps and then a message appears that says: We were unable to get your returns. Please check back later. Unprofessional and Unhelpful Service I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from both the agents and call center staff. There was a clear lack of seriousness and professionalism in handling my issue. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the matter, I was met with dismissive attitudes and inadequate solutions. It's frustrating to deal with a company that doesn't prioritize customer concerns or treat them with respect. I hope management takes note and invests in proper training for their staff.an iam waiting for my paymemt until today everyone say ur money is on the way but no money so iam not gonna allow these lies to enter my world but it's sad honestly

I have went to the UIF, offices in Alberton, on 16 May 2025 and stood in the que for more than 2 hours, eventually I went inside only to find out that they were having system issues and the gentleman informed me and the others that we need to hand our forms with all information filled and that he will load it onto the system when they back online and no payment received. Today 30 May 2025 I went in to enquire why I have not received my payment as it should have been done within 7 days of signing and handing in the forms, only to find out that my information was not loaded onto the system, the gentleman helped me to.complete the forms and uploaded it on the system which I feel is unfair and frustrating, I have bills to.pay and the gentleman who helped me on the 16 May 2025 was present and I asked him what had happened as he waz to.upload them he then said he had to give it the relevant department, why did he take it initially stating he was helping them and will load onto the system now plenty of stories. Alberton UIF always has some or the other stories and this happens all the time. Now they say we must go online and register, when we do that the online system states banking details incorrect when all along I use the very same banking details. Some of them at the Alberton UIF are so *********** and take their own time to assist. I am terribly disappointed as I have bills to pay,... REALLY PATHETIC EXCUSES, not accepted. Please have a look into this matter.as this is our money due to us. Highly appreciated. Much thanks. Vadie

When you search UIF in Google the following is the response which is spot on: "Systemic Failures and Delays: The UIF has a history of operational and administrative challenges, including delays in processing claims, backlogs, and inefficient staff. " These problems have been ongoing for years and it appears that the Minister, Departmental Heads, Managers and Staff are all incapable of adressing these issues. Is it not time the government disbanded this organistaion and incorporate the collection and payment of UIF into the efficient SARS system. Employers already make their UIF payments to SARS.
