0/5 – A Complete Disaster: Avoid Ultimate Bus Company at All Costs
Our experience with Ultimate Bus Company (https://theultimatepartybus.co.za/) was nothing short of shocking, stressful, and deeply disappointing. We made our first enquiry on 14 October, and only received a response a week later on 21 October. The message included photos of an immaculate, modern “Ultimate Open Top Party Bus” and a long list of promised features: • On-board toilet • Air-conditioning • Bar counter & ice bucket • LED disco lighting • Cordless mic & PA system • 14 000w Bluetooth sound system • Guests allowed to bring drinks/snacks Based on this, we paid 50% on 27 October and the final payment on 13 November, confirming that everything was in order. From unresponsive to unreliable The day before the event (20 November) I sent a WhatsApp message—no response whatsoever. Only at 11:00 on the day of the event did they finally reply to say who the driver would be. Then the real nightmare began. The bus that arrived was NOT the bus we paid for The “party bus” arrived an hour late and looked absolutely nothing like the photos provided during the booking. What we received was a dilapidated, rusty, falling-apart vehicle that should not be on the road, let alone hired out for events. Among the many failures: No Bluetooth sound system (the music didn’t work), No resemblance to the advertised bus, Benches and seats were loose and falling apart, Overall poor suspension, unsafe and uncomfortable To make matters worse, the driver told us he had been called last minute because the company double-booked the bus, and he hadn’t even been paid. What was meant to be a fun, exciting start to our year-end function turned into a complete disaster and a huge source of stress. The service was unprofessional from start to finish, and the final product was borderline *****ulent. Zero after-service – they simply ignore you To this day (n 2 weeks later) , despite multiple WhatsApps and emails, Ultimate Bus Company has refused to respond. Save yourself the frustration - There are plenty of reputable party bus companies in Johannesburg. Do yourself a favour and book with literally any of them instead. Ultimate Bus Company is unreliable, unprofessional, misleading, and in our experience, a total waste of money.

Horrible company. They either a **** company or they don’t respect people. The owner Lawrence is unprofessional. Firstly they will be all good until you need them to deliver. On the 27th of June they cancelled us 2 hours after they were supposed to have sent us a bus. They left us stranded. They don’t pick up calls and they haven’t even refunded us. After we got their accounts reported to our ***** department that’s when they started wanting to contact us. This guy is a ***** and I would not recommend. Stay away from them. They are completely bad. No open communication, thier WhatsApp line is useless, their land line the same … even his personal number the same. He is just a horrible human being without conscience and compassion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Be Careful of this company, they are quick to take your money, but quiet thereafter and just ignore you. Their Previous Company was Liquidated and ****ming clients left right and centre which is why they started this Company which they are doing the same with.

Would recommend!
I didn’t book with them directly but I had the pleasure of being able to use their services. The bus is so cool, fun LED lights, great speakers, double decker and quite a lovely driver. They offered help when we loaded things onto the bus as well as protecting our belongings when we made stops. Would recommend for a fun time with friends!

I didn’t book with them directly but I had the pleasure of being able to use their services. The bus is so cool, fun LED lights, great speakers, double decker and quite a lovely driver. They offered help when we loaded things onto the bus as well as protecting our belongings when we made stops. Would recommend for a fun time with friends!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Jozi Vibes Bus operate under the name of Ultimate Bus as well. These appear to be ****mers/*****sters. We booked their party bus for a matric dance group on the 9th of May 2025. We paid in full as required and the Bus never arrived. Since then, almost a week later, we haven't been able to get hold of them on the phone and they don't respond to any messages.

We paid in full as required and the Bus never arrived. Since then, almost a week later, we haven't been able to get hold of them on the phone and they don't respond to any messages.
