Not a nice experience shopping at ultimate hobbies. The guy that assisted me was very arrogant, rude and he didn't know what he was talking about.

He basically told me that the R1100 charger he was trying to sell me was the only product that's worth buying and that no other charger in the world is worth buying.

When I showed him on my phone that I can get this same charger for R700 from RC Edge, he got upset and asked me to leave his store. It's the weirdest experience ever. I suggest that before dealing with the rude and incompetent team at ultimate hobbies, rather go to RC Edge in randburg. They are very friendly, they're prices are competative and they know RC equipement.

Yesterday, 8 July 2015, I walked into the Ultimate Hobbies store to purhase various parts, for a product that I bought from them previously. (I've spent over R7000 at this shop). The elderly half man/half woman with the husky voice that owns/manages the store attending to me, let me know that \This is a hobby shop

In December I purchased an RC car with 2 sets of batteries (4 batteries). I charged these batteries 4 times in the last 5 months. When I went to charge the one set I noticed them miss formed. I drove through to the shop which is almost 100km one way, just to get told that there is no warranty on the batteries. I can understand that on the car but the batteries? I find this a bit strange and if they want to blame me for the damage on the batteries they must have their heads read. I have taken all pre-cautions to insure I have a decent charger so that I don't damage the batteries as they are not cheap.
I'll no longer drive all the way to support this shop, I'll rather look for another shop closer to me which I'll support.
