Umkomaas Lodge
The rooms are great and specious. Sea facing rooms are even better. The municipality is the one killing this town. Not water during my visit. The staff is great and very useful.

Pathetic!! I will not recommend anyone to go there. Have to park your car in s**** yard! Home made shower. Have to go without power for up to 30 hours. When I eventually found the staff, they were relaxing in the bar (with generator!)and drinking beer, when I tried to confront them to discuss the matter they were rude and sarcastic. I wanted to get out of the bar and asked if they could give me feedback asap. Needless to say, I never received any feedback. The tidle pool was not safe to swim in. I paid R16k for a ****py room with 2 chairs even though we booked for 4 people. no aircon. no wifi. no dstv. no private beach. Very bad experience . NO STARS, LOW BUDGED ACCOMODATION!!!!!!

Unsafe accomodation Umkomaas Lodge
Complaint: Please find detail of complaint: 1) Parking space limited and unsafe. No gate. Tenants have to move their cars when they want to drive somewhere. Security guard is not on duty 24 hours and unarmed. Vehicles are not safe and risk is high. Insurance will not cover this risk for vehicle. 2) No hot water in kitchen or bathroom basin. 3) No plugs in basins. 4) Unsafe and unmarked step from kitchen to room 5) Toilet is in shower. Wet and unsafe to go to toilet. 6) ****roaches in room 7) Two single beds in stead of double bed. Hurts your back when you sleep 8) No aircon 9) Room not as on photo's on Booking.Com 10) Swimming pool can't be used and tide pool and braai facilities are unkept and does not look good. 11) Building is unkept and does not look good. Had to go to another place from second night, to have safety for my car and Umkomaas Lodge refuses to refund me.

Outstanding service and experience
<p>I was given a Groupon voucher for my birthday in 2013 for a Shark cage dive for 2 people and due to inclement weather conditions on three occassions in 2013/2014, I was unable to utilise this. I did not contact them for 2 years(2015/2016) and realised at the beginning of January 2017 that I had not used this offer. I contacted Lelanie at their offices via e-mail, expecting a "sorry you are too late, offer expired", response, but was pleasantly surprised when she offered me to come in on the weekend of the 3/4 February 2017, as the weather was looking good. I was blown away with their response and immediately confirmed for Saturday 4th February. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and briefed on the outing and thereafter followed a really mindblowing experience. </p> <p>I want to really thank Lelanie, Donovan and the rest of their crew for the proffesional and experienced manner in which the days proceedings were handled and also for honouring a 4 year old gift voucher. Thanks guys and all the best for the future.</p>
