Cannot get through to anyone who can assist me with just a simple cancellation and deactivation linked to my gym membership. I have sent multiple emails and when I call I get transferred back and forth and end up at the same person I initially spoke to. Terrible terrible service. Their rewards are a waste of time in any case

We used Universal 360 to erect a new carport. The owner Ghaalieb Jappie asked for a 75% deposit to purchase the material. We were not happy with the completed carport and informed Mr Jappie that we will be witholding the 25% balance until.the issues were rectified. Part of these issues were that the supporting beams were all cut too short and patched up by welding small discs of steel onto the structure to make it fit. The welding was really horrible and the painting was done very poorly. The carport height is only 1.9m and should be 2.2m as per SA carport standards. The sheeting was moved and redrilled so many times, it has left nearly 50 unused and exposed drill holes. Not one of the beams are level and the whole structure is skew. One of the carrier beams have twisted and bent and the entire roof is sagging. He also used substandard material, which is in my opinion probably the cause of the support beam bending and twisting. The only solution is to have the carport torn down and re-built. Mr Jappie is however refusing to do this. He agreed to replace the sheeting if we pay the remaining 25% so he can purchase new sheets. Problem is, the sheeting is not the only issue. He refers to these major issues as "snags ", which he will see to once we pay him the 25% remainder. No sane person will pay the remainder before satisfactory completion. We now have to pay another contractor to do the rebuild. We have given Mr Jappie two options, we want him to remove the structure and pay our money back, or he should refund us R5000 which we will add to the remaining 25% to pay the new contractor. He chose to ignore both options. We have not heard from Mr Jappie since 20 November 2023. Today is the 2nd of December 2023, which leaves us with the conclusion that he has walked away from the job.
