Audi A4 2010 Oil Consumption Problem

I Have a 2010 Audi A4 (B8) 1.8 T Multitronic which had an oil consumption problem. I had an oil consumption test done and it was 3.3litres per 1000km. I complained to Audi South Africa about the problem they did their investigations and declined to fix the car for the following reason: 1. I bought the car used. 2. The car is now out of maintenance plan and 3. The engine is a 1.8litre not a 2Litre At the time i had done 124696km and it was April 2016 Audi Bruma quoted me R64 000 to have the engine rebuilt, I took my car to VA auto repairs and they quoted and repaired the car for me for much less than what Audi quoted. More than a year later I haven't had any oil consumption problem with my car.
