MISREPRESENTATION OF ITEM
I bought a glass door online at vanacht doors, when the door arrived it had no glass in it, it is just a door frame. 2 Pane Glass Door – Meranti – 813×2032 R1,590.00 813 / 762 x 2032 x 40mm this is exactly what the description says about the door, nowhere does it stipulate that it is just a door frame, it clearly states" GLASS DOOR" My order was confirmed and once again it stated the below: 2 pane GLASS DOOR [Order #57688] (March 12, 2026) Product Quantity Price DOOR PAINT GRADE 2 Pane Glass Door - Meranti - 813x2032 1 R1,090.02 Subtotal: R1,090.02 Shipping: R238.05 (incl. VAT) via MDS Road Freight Payment method: Payfast Total: R1,328.07 (includes R173.23 VAT) Note: Please call before delivery

VERY DISSAPOINTING SERVICE AND COMMICATION.
I don't like writing reviews so I am going to keep this very short. I had a bad experience in regards to comminication. The process was very slow. They asked for full payment prior to delivery and installation of the window of which I did do. The team arrived and did not have a long enough step ladder. They then blamed us for not removing the burglar bars. I asked the representitive to please remove the bars and that I would pay entra. This would have taken them a few minutes as the bars come off with a spanner. The representive then called the team to go back of which they did not after admitting they did not have a long enough ladder to do the work ion that day. We now sitting with another week of delay. When I called to discuss this with management they told me they could not assist me and basically made me look like the bad one. They all stick together as a team and treat clients as a number and not a client. As a director of my own company I would have handled this differently. Very dissapointing, I will not be using their services again!

Be careful when using Van Acht! Rather buy elsewhere!!
I was referred to Van Acht for my doors and wooden products for a construction project. Total number of doors required is 33, plus 6 garage doors. We sourced 33 door frames in April this year. Thereafter 6 entrance doors were acquired around mid year. Finally 6 exterior doors were taken in September. We also sourced all of our accessories from them at that point: hinges, door handles and locks. The entrance doors were installed around July, and the exterior doors in September. At this point, I noticed that one of the exterior doors was not finished properly. The veneer was pulling away at a portion of the door. I was also informed by the site manager that one of the entrance doors (which is quite expensive) was not aligning with the frame. I informed Van Acht that we has issues with these doors, and an assessor was sent to site to inspect the doors. Feedback was that the doors were not sealed and that it was our fault that the doors had issues. I must point out that the rainy season had not started and out of 12 doors two had different issues. All the other doors were unaffected. When I raised this, the 2 doors were collected for a detailed analysis. When I got them back, the exterior door was slightly better, the other one was worse than before. No further assistance has been offered from them. If you buy anything from Van Acht, please check the goods thoroughly immediately. Check the finish of the products and make 100% sure that nothing is loose! Also make sure that the doors that you buy are absolutely straight - you will get no support and illogical excuses from them if you do not do this. I still require 16 doors and 6 garage doors for the completion of my project. I will definitely be sourcing these products from a different supplier. The minimum rating that I can set is 1 star - they do not even deserve that.

Poor Service
After years of supporting Van Acht Wooden Windows as a loyal client, Van Acht services this week has been bery disappointing. On Monday 31st of July I placed a order and my client paid the order in full. On Tuesday 1st August I spoke to them and they promised that my order will be ready for pickup on Thursday 3rd of August. Thursday I phoned them for collection, then the order wasn't ready. The salesman said it will be ready by Friday the 4th of August. On Friday morning, I phoned them again about the collection of my order, they then only told me that the guy that is cutting the windows is sick since Monday 31st of July. This whole week they have been lying to me and my client. I feel that their service is very unproffesional. Elim Renovations and Designs

After years of supporting Van Acht Wooden Windows as a loyal client, Van Acht services this week has been bery disappointing. On Monday 31st of July I placed a order and my client paid the order in full. On Tuesday 1st August I spoke to them and they promised that my order will be ready for pickup on Thursday 3rd of August. Worst Aluminum Supplier ever!!
Worst Aluminum Supplier!!! We are recently renovating our house and Van Acht supplied all the windows and doors for our outbuilding. We have had the worst service from a company that is so renowned in wooden doors that it’s aluminum division is nothing short of disappointing. We had terrible service from the day they came on site for measurements to supplying incorrect measurements resulting in doors for the same room with different heights and mixing up the measurements of the doors, to doors not closing properly when they came to instal. There is a long laundry list of snags from our architect that still need to be addressed, having given them the opportunity to take back the doors to manufacturing which took another 5 weeks to doors coming back with scratches and broken or sub standard beadings on the doors. The alignment on the panels was problematic for 7-9m sliding doors with plastic fillers that are protruding and not installed flush. This is the worst supplier we have dealt with so far and their workmanship and quality in aluminum is nothing short of appalling!!

I was very impressed with the service received
Very happy with our new stack door. Had a minor issue with lock but arrived an hour after I requested a follow up and all 100%. Great service!
