A team of Van Deventer Plumbers came to our complex to repair a water leak. By accident, the foreman drove into the metal gate thereby bending the top and bottom part of the gate and twisting the brick pillar out of the foundation. Both parts of the gate no longer fitted into the brackets. Consequently, the bottom part ( sliding) was no longer secure: could be pushed open = the complex not being protected against burglars. The top part ( swinging), posed a risk of falling down, = risk of injury. The Team left the property without "securing" the place of accident. Mr Byron Van Deventer never came to asses the situation. I proposed that he sends a team that could provisionally and temporarily straighten the bent gate and readjust the position of the 2 brackets in a way that the sliding part cant be pushed open and the top part could no longer fall town. He refused to do anything with the excuse" the insurance would not accept such an intervention". I was forced to hire some casual labor who helped me to provisionally secure the gate, as it was obvious that the final repair ( insurance) will take some time. I am frustrated about Van Deventers ignorance and their refusal to take responsibility for the damage they caused. and for putting our complex and the health of people at risk. My experience with Byron Van Deventer = business ethics = ZERO

Our geyser burst on the 23rd of December, the worst time of the year to have a major plumbing issue. Byron's team took up the challenge and arrived early on the 24th and got to work. The job was made more difficult because they had to go in through the roof tiles (due to issues with the trap door) and they took it in their stride and had it all replaced, closed up and working by early afternoon. The team was extremely professional, they adhered to COVID protocols and didn't leave a mess behind. I'm pleased Van Deventer Plumbers was recommended to us, they've been a huge help
