Emeris Cape Town Newlands
Based on recent customer reviews, Emeris Cape Town Newlands receives overwhelmingly positive praise for its frontline staff, with individuals such as Riaan Arries, Maliviwe, and Nelly frequently highlighted for going above and beyond. Students describe the campus experience as friendly, efficient, and supportive. However, recurring negative feedback centres on serious administrative failures, including unresolved credit transfers, disputed cancellation debts, prolonged refund processes, and inadequate parking facilities. Communication breakdowns, unanswered calls, and slow email responses amplify frustration among dissatisfied customers.

We have been trying to sort credits from Stellenbosch university for weeks with no reply. Numbers are unanswered and I am directed from pillar to post. Information was sent in October 2025 already and was completed once again online in person on campus. I have phoned the Newlands Campus repeatedly without reply and the numbers for credit enquiries is answered by the marketing office at Ruimsig who only redirect my call. My daughter has no idea what textbooks to buy or what classes to attend next we3ek. The service has been non-existent, hope this is not what we signed up for at almost R 120K per annum.

Failure of Administration to Provide Required Registration & Account Documents. I am extremely concerned about the ongoing and unacceptable administrative failures at Emeris Newlands. My son is currently in his second year of study at your institution, and I experienced the exact same difficulties last year. Once again, I am facing serious obstacles in obtaining basic documentation required for a third-party bursary application. The bursary provider requires the following by 05 February 2026: Statement of Account Confirmation of Student Registration I have paid the first month’s fees in full, yet these documents are not available on the student portal, and despite multiple attempts to contact the administration office, no one has been able to assist. Calls are frequently cut off, or I am simply told that assistance is not possible. Due to these inefficiencies, my son is now at risk of losing his bursary funding. This situation is entirely unacceptable. Emeris promotes itself as a World Class Institution, yet your registration and administrative processes fall significantly short of this claim. I am also fully aware that I am not the only parent or student experiencing these problems.

Nelly. She is the best ever at the campus. Sad that I am leaving VC to UCT. Wish I could take her with me and always get what is an extra-ordinary service. She is so kind and speaks very well.

The most greedy tertiary institution ever! When I first registered, I was told to pay R12,800 per month. However, this month, after my parents paid R12,800, they received a call from the financial department stating that we needed to pay an extra R5,000. I asked the student queries office for help, and they told me to email them my asylum seeker permit as proof that I am not an international student. I tried to call the financial department, but they completely ignored my calls. Why else would you place a number if they know they won't pick up? To make things worse, I recently checked with four people who are international students, and they said they pay R12,800 per month, and international students are supposed to pay R12,800 plus an extra R5,000. That’s how I realized the school is being greedy; they targeted me to pay an extra R5,000 after I had already paid the R12,800 monthly fees. This is nothing but greed!! Now they have even blocked my student portal, and I cannot see my results.
