Absolutely Disgusting how they talk and treat other people! Especially the finance department - morespesifically Sonica Thompson. Got no respect neither able to treat the other person like a human. Just threats and shouting yet refusing to resolve the matter!

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the administrative and financial management at the institution. The current state of the Finance Department is, in my experience, severely disorganized. Furthermore, the transition and integration processes from VEGA to Varsity College, and now to Emeris, appear to have been inadequately managed. The consequences of these systemic failures have had a profoundly negative impact on my two daughters, both academically and administratively. The exclusive reliance on an online dashboard for communication, without accessible email contacts, student advisors, or designated points of contact, reflects a serious lack of transparency and accountability. It is extremely concerning that there appears to be no clear avenue for direct engagement or resolution of urgent matters. Given the gravity of the situation, I believe this matter warrants attention at a national level. I intend to escalate this complaint to the relevant authorities, including the Directorate for Private Colleges at the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), via Lange.S@dhet.gov.za and callcentre@dhet.gov.za. Institutions entrusted with the education and wellbeing of students must be held accountable for their administrative and financial responsibilities. I trust that this matter will receive the urgent attention it deserves.

Is campus management aware of your impossible parking and traffic situation? Late for lectures the last two days, despite allocating AN HOUR prior to lecture to be able to park. This, after waiting on Graystone drive for over 40 minutes just to get into the entrance. Is this standard set by Emeris sufficiently adequate, in your opinion? Basic, pragmatic planning has clearly been overlooked in favour of accepting as many students as possible, despite not being able to provide the most obvious of facilities. Where are the sufficient entry/exit points to ease traffic on one of the already busiest roads in Joburg?? And where are the parking spaces for the number of students you have gladly enrolled along with your exorbitant fees? Does your institution have an actionable plan to address this very pertinent issue? Judging by the number of other disgruntled and angry students also trying to gain entry on time every day, I would recommend you address this issue with haste. What is the point of having a fancy campus with all the bells and whistles inside when nobody can get in there??

I’m writing this out of frustration and anger. Your enrollment has been poor. My brother still hasn’t been fully enrolled and classes are starting next. For two weeks we have been following up on the same issue. The Sandton campus can’t resolve it and National is telling us it should be resolved there. Registering was been fully paid up but process of enrolment is stuck. He can’t access timetable on access the intranet. This is also causing an inconvenience with the bursary he has. They’ve been waiting for finalisation of everything and nothing is happening. Please resolve this asap as the kid needs to start classes on Monday

THE MOST USELESS INSTITUE EVER! THEY DO NOT ANSWER CALLS THEY DONT RETURN CALLS NOTHING, THEY MAKE YOU HOLD FOR 20+ MINUTES! THE ONLY WAY TO GET THINGS DONE IS GOING THERE WHICH IS WORSE. IM STUCK WITH THIS PLACE BECAUSE NO OTHER UNIVERSITY ACCEPTS THEIR CREDITS FOR GOOD REASON! I WILL BE TAKING THESE ISSUES OF EMERIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY QUICK TO ASK FOR MONEY BUT DO NOT HELP THE STUDENTS. MYSELF AND A LARGE GROUP OF OTHER STUDENTS ARE TAKING THIS TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO ENSURE THAT NO ONE APPLIES THERE BECAUSE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY. HELLO PETER, TIKTOK, INSTAGRAM AND EVERY OTHER PLATFROM. EMERIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO STUDY AT. THEY THINK CHANGING THEIR NAME AND PREMISES WILL MAKE THEM BETTER, THINK AGAIN. I CANT WAIT TO BE DONE WITH MY DEGREE SO I CAN NEVER SET FOOT THERE AGAIN. EMERIS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN IF THEY ARENT GOING TO TAKE US AS STUDENTS AND FEE PAYERS SERIOUSLY!

The service at the front desk/reception at the new Emeris branch in Sandton is very poor. After i inquired about the school tour to look around the school, the staff rep**** “I don’t know about any tour so I don’t know how I’m supposed to help you”. Even after explaining that someone I knew was currently touring/walking around the school doing the tour with the staff they rep**** “ They could be anywhere right now so I can’t help you, you can sit down and message whoever you need to otherwise there’s nothing that can be done”. The staff at Emeris Sandton reception are a representation of inadequate professional standards and attitude over and beyond failure to demonstrate support and assistance. HR needs to revisit their bright idea of hiring students as employees.
