I am fueled with frustrations and disappointment in Varsity rental because it delays processing a refund into my account. I urgently require those funds to pay for varsity registration at North-West University—the last day of registration is on the 7th of Feb. When I called the finance team, I was told my request was sent to the processing finance department, which has been a week now, with no feedback or money into my account. I have been waiting for the funds since the 21st of Jan 2025, firstly it was maintenance, secondly inspection, and now the finance department delays.
Their systems are so fast in processing invoices and charging the account holders. Yet, when it comes to processing refunds, It seems like you have to wait for a year - God knows when. My account has had a credit balance since December, and my little sister moved out in Jan. Yet the whole process of refund rolls into Feb.
I wouldn't recommend Varsity Rental to anyone, due to their delays in processing refunds of refundable deposits. I am hoping other students aren't going through the same disaster with Varsity rental at Potchefstroom.
