Maintenance lady not doing her JOB
The maintenance lady has shown little concern for addressing the issues in my unit. These problems should have been fixed before I moved in, and although both the agent and inspection team informed her, she has not done her job. For the past two months, she has only responded by saying she will update me ‘in due time,’ yet nothing has been resolved. I still have a light that needs replacing and electrical plugs that are not working.

WORST AGENCY EVER!
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Varsity Rentals Agency. They are by far the worst agent I have ever dealt with. Instead of representing my interests as a tenant, they seemed solely focused on siding with the landlord and pushing their agenda. They are extremely money-driven, constantly charging hidden fees and unnecessary costs, making the entire process stressful and unfair. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and tenant-focused agency. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Varsity Rentals Agency. They are by far the worst agent I have ever dealt with. Instead of representing my interests as a tenant, they seemed solely focused on siding with the landlord and pushing their agenda. They are extremely money-driven, constantly charging hidden fees and unnecessary costs, making the entire process stressful and unfair. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and tenant-focused agency. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

Varsity rental fails to refund me in time
I am fueled with frustrations and disappointment in Varsity rental because it delays processing a refund into my account. I urgently require those funds to pay for varsity registration at North-West University—the last day of registration is on the 7th of Feb. When I called the finance team, I was told my request was sent to the processing finance department, which has been a week now, with no feedback or money into my account. I have been waiting for the funds since the 21st of Jan 2025, firstly it was maintenance, secondly inspection, and now the finance department delays. Their systems are so fast in processing invoices and charging the account holders. Yet, when it comes to processing refunds, It seems like you have to wait for a year - God knows when. My account has had a credit balance since December, and my little sister moved out in Jan. Yet the whole process of refund rolls into Feb. I wouldn't recommend Varsity Rental to anyone, due to their delays in processing refunds of refundable deposits. I am hoping other students aren't going through the same disaster with Varsity rental at Potchefstroom.

Varsity Rentals in Potchefstroom has to be one of the most *****ulent agencies I have come across. As a property owner, you would pay them to do absolutely NOTHING. Aside from that, they are a few months behind on paying my rent. When you talk to Jaco or Esmerelda, they threaten you with legal action. Avoid this **** of a company at al costs!!

I want my money
Varsity rental is a ****. They are all good when you do business with them however when you are supposed to leave. They begin to be nowhere yo be found on their phones and also at their offices they do not help at all. My tenant paid them the rental for Jan to Feb 2024 but the guy did not pay me my money his name is Jaaco strydom...**** that one!

Varsity Rentals Potchefstroom - Deposit not paid back for two months - Langs Die Randjie,
I had a rental contract with the above mentioned company(Varsity Rentals, Potchefstroom, North West) which ended at the end of October 2023. To this day i do not hear anything regarding my deposit. The agency has not done any inspection, according to one of their employees. from there i was referred to a finance person who still has not responded to my watsapp messages. The manager of the company is Jaco and i have previously been assisted by him on a different rental agreement and things were done professionally then. I am disappointed by their treatment and would like to get my R4000.00 deposit for the Langs Die Randjie flat number 7 where i used to rent. Thank you

Worst ever
I have been with Varsity Rentals for many years now as an owner of one of the Student Apartments to be rented out. Why I am still with them is my own stupidity...I know. This must be the worst property business in Potchefstroom...well in fact, anywhere I know. Since April 11 2023 I have contacted him countless times via whatsapp...in fact 7 times...He has not even contacted me once. This Jaaco person and his whole team is pathetic. Over the years I've had so many fights and arguments with them (this Jaaco person and his agents)...and then I turn soft again and talk nicely and then they get back into their habit of not contacting you. Do you want peace with your property that should be rented ? The DO NOT contact Varsity Rentals...they are pathetic.

Easy to deal with & friendly agent
Easy to deal with and the agent that assisted me was very helpful and friendly. Finally moved into my own place out of res and ready to finish my studies!! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
