I want to warn other consumers about my recent experience with Kiwi.com. I booked a flight advertised on their platform and paid the full amount immediately, yet the booking remained “processing” for about 7 hours. I then received an email saying the airline, Airlink, had increased the price and that Kiwi.com could not honour the booking. They offered two options: a refund that would take up to 10 days, or a voucher to rebook through Kiwi.com. The next day I checked Airlink’s website and the exact same flight was still available, only R50 more than what I paid Kiwi.com. I booked directly with Airlink and received confirmed tickets immediately. This raises serious concerns about how Kiwi.com advertises and processes flight pricing. Consumers should not have their money taken instantly only to be told hours later that the price has changed while the same flight is still available. This practice is unfair to consumers and needs accountability.
