On 10 May the service received from staff at the Vespa office in Fourways was shocking. Even the manager was rude. The question asked was about the different specifications of the models on the floor and the benefits of each. The manager was bordering on being verbally abusive.

Never buy a Vespa!!!

I bought a GTV250, in March 2015, completely refurbished, like new, & come with a 1 year warranty. When the Vespa was received I did not receive instructions other than it should be serviced every 5000km. I also did not receive the toolkit. The glass on the front light melted, which Vespa said was my fault and refused to replace it. After 1000km it was sent in twice as I was left standing in the middle of the highway with no power, to find out that the fuel pump was faulty (something that should have been checked when refurbishing the Vespa). Just before the 5000km (after having had a full check less than 4000km prior) I was left standing next to the highway yet again. We checked the oil as we waited for road side assist, there was some oil in. The Vespa workshop told me the engine seized due to no oil. Then 2 weeks later we now receive a quote for roughly R26000, which we are expected to pay, because we were apparently negligent. The technician said we were supposed to check oil every week, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT IF WE WERE NEVER INFORMED OF THIS?WHERE DOES ALL THE OIL GO IN 4000KM, WITH NO OIL LIGHT EVER SHOWING? Vespa blatantly refusing to take responsibility.
