We visited the restaurant at the Westcliffe for breakfast to celebrate my wife's 45th birthday. Given the hefty pricetag (R395 pp) we were expecting a truely splendid breakfast. However the eggs, pork bangers and hashbrowns served with the breakfast weren't really special (above average) but rather below average (a trip to M&B would've been far superior). The hasbrowns were fried to a dark crisp light brown colour in 'used' oil with a bad aftertaste. The pork bangers had quite large pieces of chewy fat and small pieces of bone in it. The freshly sqeezed fruit juices and pastries were good though. Personally I think the prices charged are exhorbitant considering the overall quality.
