Dr Irene's attention to detail and care is extraordinary. Always a pleasure visiting her practice.

This was the most unprofessional practice I have ever been to. I really wanted to walk out because paying R1100 to a doctor who did not listen to anything their patient said, misdiagnosed me, gave me a prescription for medication I did not want (whom was told that I did not need this medication and still got ignored), a Doctor who pushed me very forcibly to see one of her Psychologists for a skin problem -- I would never encourage anyone to waste their time, petrol and R1100 in visiting Dr Irene McLachlan. If I could make this review less than 1 star, I would. Dr McLachlan did not listen to any of my reasons on why I went to see her, she misdiagnosed me with a common cause that she seems to diagnose to all her clients (stress and anxiety), which was NOT the correct diagnosis for me. She wrote a prescription for a stress tablet which I advised her I did NOT need nor want, yet she still talked over me and gave me the script for this medication regardless. Dr McLachlan kept pushing me to go see one of her Psychologists which I explained (1) I don't need to as I have my own Psychologist and am now in need of a Dermatologist and (2) I don't have the funds to cover the amount of Psychologist meetings she said I should start with, just to receive her response saying if I wanted to invest in my health, I should make the money available. How do you make R4 000 magically appear every month when I've advised her that I had to save to see Dr McLachlan at a price of R1100 for one appointment AND JUST TO BE COMPLETELY IGNORED. Her persistence in pushing me to see one of her recommended Psychologists, left one feeling that perhaps Dr McLachlan must be paid for referring patients to them, as she completely ignores anything her patients have to say regardless of any previous treatment they advise her of, or the state of their finances. This was the absolute worse Doctor experience I have ever experienced in the history of my medical visits. I literally threw R1100 down the drain when making this appointment.
