In having gone to Cucina Di Giovanni in Waterstone Shopping Center for many, many years - the one night we went to celebrate my mothers birthday (10 February 2025) after the passing of my sister, my moms youngest brother and both of my mom's parents; this was not the memory we wanted to experience again, and though we've had many good times with this restaurant previously - will CERTAINLY NOT be retuning. Having arrived for an early dinner at 15h20, there was only one table seated in the restaurant and within the 20-minutes of being seated another table had arrived and walked-out due to lack of service. Our Service Ambassador called Clement who was asigned to us, was absolutely useless. He had no customer attention to communication and welcoming, - as the food servers and the kitchen staff were in a full-on conversation joking with each other, we had to ask for our ordered food to be brought to our table as it was sitting on the counter, - we never once got asked for a refill of drinks, once the first drink order on seating was made, - after 28-minutes of waiting for Clement to return to ask how our food was, I eventually got up to explain the food was terrible and we weren't eating it, but had been waiting and taking the time on how long it would take him to ask how our food was. On approaching Clement the Service Ambassador with this update, he shrugged me away and told me to rather speak to Charles, who was apparently the Manager on duty. Charles, too fami**** with complaints, did not take note to speak to the Serving Staff or the kitchen to find out where the fault had arrived. He just wanted to comp the entire bill completely and I said that was NOT how we work. When he handed over the bill, he still added a discount and two slices of cake for the bad service on my moms birthday and I advised him again - that's not how it works. You need to keep standards and sort the problems of the restaurant out. When I told him that I would be taking the bill and attaching his name to the review following, he was absolutely sweating and asked not to do any reviews on the service. THE FOOD: My mom and dad both ordered calamari and rice. The calamari was so watered down and had the taste of being frozen. The rice was NOT fresh and tasted like they'd just mixed in old rice with the "new" rice. The famous minestroni soup was so salty, it was inedible and the bread so thin and crumply, it was like eating cardboard. CERTAINLY NOT THE PLACE TO DINE ! ESPECIALLY NOT FOR CELEBRATORY DINNER!
RE: Profusion Hair Studio, Graanendal Shopping Centre, Durbanville. Since moving into the Durbanville area, my main concern was finding a trustworthy hairdresser with the skills and patience to listen to instruction (and also take the risks I needed when those ‘hair phases’ hit), but most importantly, a hairdresser that is honest when it comes to something that doesn’t suit you and tells you in a way that others sometimes won’t. It’s been 4 years since moving into this area and this studio has been a golden blessing (especially Angelique). I can highly recommend this hair salon, as a customer you will feel respected. It’s almost like going out for a girl’s day where warm smiles always greet you and conversation makes you know, you’re not just a customer – but also a valued friend. A hair salon that truly is experienced in their skillset, open and honest, who go through those choices with you, who are always there to book you in for an appointment in an instant, and specifically ensure that they give your hair the treatment you need to have a healthy scalp & hair experience going forward. I love that the products they’ve introduced me to are environmentally friendly and so high in quality. IMPORTANT to note, is when I started with PROFUSION Hair Salon, I had excessive psoriasis on the entire scalp and since being with them, they’ve helped me with this incredibly that I no longer need specialized shampoo and don’t have those embarrassing flakes or bald patches anymore. Give them a booking – and experience this for yourselves, as I promise, you definitely will not be disappointed.
Having now gone to this venue many times over the months, it's time to advise that one should go for a meal here when you’re at your most patient, not hungry and definitely not on a timeline. Though the food has always been incredible on each and every visit (well done to the Kitchen Team), I find that the one thing this establishment lacks in making it a great venue is the nonexistence of service and management. There is seldom a manager around to seat you, therefore, leaving customers to make their own way to available tables and having to try and catch the attention of serving staff in order to be assisted. When you finally have a waitron approach, the experience is: waiting 30 minutes for two coffee’s, an additional 22 minutes for a cup of tea, making it already close to 1-hour before you're able to place your meal order. The meals take about 30 minutes to arrive, which is very acceptable considering the quality that is presented from the kitchen. However, no waitron or management comes to the table to do the necessary approval check with customers – so, if you should require anything additional with your meal, we suggest you ask the staff on arrival of your meals. The management seems to be new during this last visit (August 2024), as they looked more uncertain about the running of the restaurant and mainly stood in the corner hiding from responsibility. Again – the food is really worth the visit, however, this establishment definitely need to “up their game” when it comes to the multitude of Waitrons they have that just don’t seem to do their job at the standard you would expect.
The staff are always friendly and ready to greet and assist you with any query you may have. A special shout-out to the Dispensary as they always have a smile to share with you, remember your name and are open to making you feel well looked after and as a valued client.
The staff did not seem certain about what was sold in-store and how to care, clean, maintain their specialized brand items, when asked. In addition, they have zero education or experience with their online store, market, reviews, products and costings per product. I was passed through three on-floor staff members and one manager, who had no answers, and who even recommended that I just use "sunlight soap liquid on a wet cloth" for a down jacket to be cleaned..... (??!!) The manager at the time, did not speak to me, but rather answered the staff member who had introduced me to the manager for assistance. And in addition, was openly searching and looking at his personal Facebook page, on screen, in plain view of the customers, without providing his full attention to customer support or client friendly experience face-to-face, as he was clearly distracted with his personal online social updates.
We would highly recommend visiting Mont Marie Restaurant for a light lunch, lunch or dinner. They are situated in the mountains and surrounded by vineyards, leaving you with breathtaking views. The restaurant is always immaculate and though they only have one bathroom for the ladies, you hardly notice this one little flaw. The staff were vibrant and ready to serve with a smile on their faces and personality fully loaded in their barrels. The knowledge of the menu and how it would be presented to customers was noticeable and the suggestions of dishes to try were vast. We were completely looked after from beginning to end, enjoyed each meal (starter, mains and dessert) without any disappointment. It's a food experience one should certainly put into their travel cards when visiting South Africa.
Special shout-out to the Barman/ Sales Ambassador named George. This employee always goes out of his way to make each and every customer feel unique and well cared for. He remembers everyone and is able to carry on conversations with all customers, no matter where they left off. This is a lovely restaurant to visit as the staff are always friendly and eager to help, even if this means going out of their way, which they happily do without question. They have staff meetings which are lovely to see happening as you feel confident that training and that customer care is top on their priority list. The food has always been on point, no matter if it's a small breakfast, to a snack lunch, to burger Mondays, their incredible pizza's and their fully loaded fries options. No matter what you order, the food is always fresh and fast to leave the kitchen. The Kitchen Staff have always been on top form! The restaurant itself and their bathrooms are always of the highest standards and kept continuously clean, with no plumbing problems. I do highly recommend visiting this really great restaurant - It's a must to make any mid-week, weekend or holiday adventure complete.
This was the most unprofessional practice I have ever been to. I really wanted to walk out because paying R1100 to a doctor who did not listen to anything their patient said, misdiagnosed me, gave me a prescription for medication I did not want (whom was told that I did not need this medication and still got ignored), a Doctor who pushed me very forcibly to see one of her Psychologists for a skin problem -- I would never encourage anyone to waste their time, petrol and R1100 in visiting Dr Irene McLachlan. If I could make this review less than 1 star, I would. Dr McLachlan did not listen to any of my reasons on why I went to see her, she misdiagnosed me with a common cause that she seems to diagnose to all her clients (stress and anxiety), which was NOT the correct diagnosis for me. She wrote a prescription for a stress tablet which I advised her I did NOT need nor want, yet she still talked over me and gave me the script for this medication regardless. Dr McLachlan kept pushing me to go see one of her Psychologists which I explained (1) I don't need to as I have my own Psychologist and am now in need of a Dermatologist and (2) I don't have the funds to cover the amount of Psychologist meetings she said I should start with, just to receive her response saying if I wanted to invest in my health, I should make the money available. How do you make R4 000 magically appear every month when I've advised her that I had to save to see Dr McLachlan at a price of R1100 for one appointment AND JUST TO BE COMPLETELY IGNORED. Her persistence in pushing me to see one of her recommended Psychologists, left one feeling that perhaps Dr McLachlan must be paid for referring patients to them, as she completely ignores anything her patients have to say regardless of any previous treatment they advise her of, or the state of their finances. This was the absolute worse Doctor experience I have ever experienced in the history of my medical visits. I literally threw R1100 down the drain when making this appointment.
The Social Media Manager running the page on facebook: [URL Removed]<br> <br> has asked me to make contact with McDonald's 1 week + 2 days ago with my complaint. I e-mailed with my details. <br> <br> I, as the customer who must now run after this company, e-mail to find out the status of my complaint. I receive a one-liner, stating they \are looking into the situation.\" <br> <br> 1 week and 2 days later, i again, as the customer who must run after this client, I have not been contacted, but have now been asked to \"please send an email with my details of the complaint, and they will be in contact with me.\"<br> <br> Are you freaking kidding me?? <br> <br> 1 week and 2 days after submitting my complaint, NOW you want me to resend it?!<br> <br> What is happening to you guys?"
23h50 we arrived at Waterstone Village Mall's McDonald's and I noticed the NEW spicy foldover meal. I ordered this, as I am a lover of chilli, hot sauce and hot spices. When I got home and had a bite, I was in tears and unable to eat the rest of the meal. Today I have two tongue blisters and not because of the temprature of the food, but because of the poor excuse of a hot sauce. It's not enjoyable, it's created to make your customers a**hole's cry and kills your taste buds completely. It's not the fresh spicy taste I was expecting and I just received a sauce mixed with hot spices - not enjoyable and very painful.<br> <br> 00h10 we get home and after a late night shift don't want to drive home when my partner opens his double deluxe burger and there is no roll - just patties...<br> <br> Your spicy should come with a warning because it's caused blisters on my tongue<br> Your spicy isn't fresh chilli's or clean-hot sauce, it's a chilli paste-style sauce - not yummy<br> <br> And how did your staff miss the fact that there was no bun for the burger when they were packing it away for us??
