I believe this was the worst trip that I have ever experienced with simply the best fishing charters 1. There were some of the guys on the boat who had no tackle. I mean, it was paid for, and you can't tell me that your guys don't have hooks 2. The fish size was way below average compared to the other fishing boats. 3. Fishing hours were paid for and not were provided to us 4. The rods and reels were absolutely horrible... How is it possible that a KP could be getting stuck every time it was dropped. 5. We were unable to get our full hours due to the captain constantly moving the boat from one side to the next in order to look for fish 6. During our trip, we constantly requested to stay in one spot as we knew we would catch fish, but due to the arrogance of the captain he denied us and made sure that he moved the boat away so that we may not catch good size fish 7. Thereafter the captain told us to reel up our lines we are going to troll..when then denied it and said that we do not want to troll..after that being said he moved us to a place where we never caught more than 6 fish in the last 3 hours...how does that work? 8. Old bait was provided to us 9. Fishing space on the boat was also an issue, we were told only a certain amount of people on each side of the boat yet his helpers of the boat were allowed to fish from any side any corner!! 10. The captain randomly stopped the boat in the middle of nowhere just to tell us to make the rest of the payment for the trip, mind you we have already paid a deposit and was paying the rest of the amount once the trip was completed yet he refused to dock the boat like we were going to ***** the rest of his money! 11. We played some nasheeds/naats on the boat which was very soft but after a while was told to put it off as it was disturbing, but thereafter he played his Afrikaans music loudly and we had no issue with that. He clearly showed us a ******s side of him and was also bad mouthing other races 12. His guys were catching fish with 5 hooks and 6 hooks, but we were told that we could only use 3 hooks. 13. He took us to a 114m drop with no fish, and after dropping, there was no line on the reels, which means that our reels never touched that drop lines places, yet again sabotaging us. 14. An extra 2 hours of fishing that was paid for, which was R2500, was not delivered to us, 15. The attitude of the captain was horrible, and he acted as if he knew everything and we knew nothing 16. There were 2 kids on the boat, which we were responsible for, and he did not even offer them a live jacket nor explain to them the safety rules of a boat We could bave escalated this matter on the boat but chose not to as we are not that type of people. From what we have experienced from this trip, we choose to make the public aware of their schemes and how they work and rob people and would definitely not like the same to happen to anyone else. Do note that many people have warned us about how horrible simply the best is, but we chose to overlook it as we have watched how lovely their fishing trips are and we also wanted to have the exact same experience that they "PORTRAY" to the public on social media. The day before, we went on the boat for a back-line trip in which the CAPTAIN WAS NOT PRESENT instead his helpers/workers were taking us on that trip, and to be totally honest it was a wonderful trip and we were able to catch plenty of fish and really enjoy ourselves and be free. However, on the deep-sea trip in which the OWNER/CAPTAIN was present turned out to be the worst experience ever! In actual fact, we caught more fish back-line compared to what we have caught deep-sea, which clearly shows you how he messed us up as those of you who fish know very well that more and bigger fish is caught deep-sea rather than back-line. From us 8 people/clients on the boat do know that there were 4 captains as well as fully experienced fisherman. All 8 guys/clients have been on multiple deep-sea trips and are totally aware of what is right and wrong when it comes to fishing. Also, we are not fools to drive down over 600 km just to go on a fishing trip where we have no clue in what to do, like I mentioned above we are fully experienced people who have been fishing for years! We have been on multiple fishing trips, and never have we ever come across such nonsense. I am fully aware that the captain will comment and block me or even delete my comments but please let's make this viral! I believe what was rightfully ours supposed to be given to us. R18 000 was paid for 2 trips(backline 5 hours)(deep sea 14 hours) the deep-sea trip (jump on at 5:30am and jumped outl at 5:30pm) So I believe that the captain should give a call to the person who did the payment to sort everything out. Videos of back-line and deep-sea was taken. So we rather sort it out then making it bigger. I wish to complement Simply Asia Plattekloof for their excellent food and great service. This Branch has truly stepped up their game, with the friendly and attentive Jupsie as Manageress and Zandile as head chef, the sky is the limit for this establishment. I ordered numerous dishes and each one was a masterpiece, truly displaying top-class Thai cuisine. I am extremely happy with the spectacular food and professional service provided by Simply Asia Plattekloof. Well done to the team for delivering exceptional dining experiences. All the right notes of Authentic Thai Cuisine. I highly recommend this Branch 🥰 writing this review makes me extremely happy 😊

I wish to complement Simply Asia Plattekloof for their excellent food and great service. This Branch has truly stepped up their game, with the friendly and attentive Jupsie as Manageress and Zandile as head chef, the sky is the limit for this establishment. I ordered numerous dishes and each one was a masterpiece, truly displaying top-class Thai cuisine. I am extremely happy with the spectacular food and professional service provided by Simply Asia Plattekloof. Well done to the team for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Somerset Mall Simply Asia was the worst food I've ever experienced. Huge chunks of broccoli and cauliflower florets with little to no chicken pieces in the meal; it looked like chicken shavings. I couldn't take eating the meal; I honestly felt sick. I'm not a wasteful person, and I had to hold my breath while eating that meal, but for R481, it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't even feed a homeless person this food; it's an insult. The spring rolls were like ****tail spring rolls for the price I paid; it's extremely ridiculous. The noodles looked like Maggi 2-minute noodles, which I could have eaten instead of wasting my money on utter *******. We were three people, and we're not impressed at all.

(I have everything on record of all correspondence) excluding telephone conversations, Have dates times and duration of my calls) Management finally contacted me, still no Thai Style Hot allowed at Simply Asia. Oh and the photos too. I specifically requested my 301 Thai Green Curry Vegetarian with Tofu (I ordered 2)be made not oily or salty and hot, i dont mind a bit of salt but too much makes me ill. I ordered the 303 Basil Chilly Stirfry with beef for my Husband, upon arriving home, I discovered my Thai Green Curry was extremely oily and salty and not green? Definitely not hot. Additionally, my husband received Tofu instead of the Chilli basil with beef that was ordered - this order was Confirmed Twice, on phone and in person. I phoned to inform the Manageress and she said that she was going to return my call. Didn't happen, as you may have guessed. We drove all the way back. I requested a refund for the takeaway dishes as this was not what was ordered and was informed that she's unable to refund me. I had to show her the Consumer Protection Act in order to get my money back for the takeaway. This lack of accountability, complete ignorance and dismissiveness is unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed by the poor quality of both the food and service. This is my experience at Simply Asia Platekloof. Since Busi left the restaurant has been a disaster. Eventually Management contacted me, Thai Style Banned at a Thai Restaurant? I asked if they are unable to make it but allegedly someone ordered Thai Style a d complained it's too hot. Very Silly. I don't have words to describe what a big disappointment this restaurant chain has become.
