My husband and I are standing at the Airport ready to depart to Heathrow later today and been informed our flight is cancelled. We checked-in, have a flight iteniary, reserved seats and booked meals; how is cancellation at this point eve allowed or even possible. The reasons provided does not even make sense: 1st reason was operationsl issues, 2nd was allocation of payment, 3rd the person that reserved the flight had no authority to do so. How are any of these reasons the passenger's fault.
This is clearly ***** and no one wants to take accountability. Intentionally deceptive action, misrepresentation, concealment of material facts. because none of their reasons make sense. Lastly the huge financial loss incurred by me, the PASSENGER.
Besides the international flight cost, we incurred local costs to Johannesburg and connecting flights for further travel from and to Heathrow.
Trying to get through to management is an impossibility, all you get are chat lines and *********** call support agents.
People please take heed of the RISKS booking travel with Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
South Africa is a third world country our citizens cannot be exposed such huge financial losses.
